mllyle Posted October 10, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2005 We realy enjoyed going to Jonny Rockets for a midnight snack on the VOS last year. What type of food does the Seaview Cafe have, can I still get a nice thick milk shake? :) Thanks.
truffles2 Posted October 10, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2005 One thing they had was fish and chips and I am pretty sure they had milkshakes also.
emmy Posted October 10, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Just happened to have the menu beside my PC.. Onion rings, chicken fingers, corn chips and salsa, soup and salad, ceasar salad, fruit and cottage cheese. Cuban Sandwich, Tuna melt, Reuban Sandwich, vegetarian sandwich, fish and ships, chili, Hamburgers, Hotdogs and Fries and a dessert of the day as well as brownies..the drinks are not listed on the menu...so not sure about that... I believe we had alcoholic drinks as the waiters would take your order once you sat down. had the cuban and reuban sandwiches and there were quite good...really enjoyed the Seaview Cafe and its location on deck 12 aft... hours varied according to port time so check the Cruise Compass. We enjoyed this dining venue more than Johnny Rockets. Emmy

hardingk Posted October 10, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Seaview Cafe is awesome....far better then Johnny Rockets. It has a larger menu with a lot of options. It is one of the main reasons I like the Radiance Class ships so much.
lamwnfa Posted October 10, 2005 #6 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Love the Seaview. The Cuban Sandwich was great. If you want really hot, fresh fries this is the place to go...and I loved the onion rings.

Meshee Posted October 10, 2005 #8 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Is there a cover charge like there is at Johnny Rockets?
Croozin Soozin Posted October 10, 2005 #9 Share Posted October 10, 2005 The food in the Seaview Cafe is included. The only charges would be for drinks - other than lemonade and water.

mllyle Posted October 10, 2005 Author #11 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Thanks everyone for the information, looks like the Seaview will be my new late night milk shake and fries stop.:p
negc Posted October 10, 2005 #12 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Shakes and smoothies are great as is the food. Unlike JRs there is no cover charge. Usually takes a while for folks to discover it so go on the first few days of the cruise and you will definitely avoid any crowds:)
barbyma Posted October 10, 2005 #13 Share Posted October 10, 2005 I LOVE their tuna melts and my kids love the soup (clam chowder, I think) and the Nathan's Dogs. Agree, the onion rings are good, too. Not just for lunch, it's a great place for a midnight snack! Barb
signman Posted October 10, 2005 #14 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Nathan's brand dogs. Now I'm excited about my Radiance cruise in 2 weeks. How are they prepared? On the grill like the hamburgers, or do they have one of those roller things. And do they have little packets of brown or deli mustard too, in addition to regular yellow mustard? Cruisechick82 Posted October 10, 2005 #16 Share Posted October 10, 2005 The Seaview sounds yummy. Has anyone been there on the Serenade? I assume they have one since it's the same class as Jewel?
Bribrittmom Posted October 10, 2005 #17 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Yes there is a Seaview Cafe on the Serenade. It was yummy!

Actually, I haven't been on the Jewel, only the Serenade. I just assumed it would be as good. The dogs are grilled. Sorry, I don't know about the mustard. VaCruzers Posted October 10, 2005 #19 Share Posted October 10, 2005 What about the hours of operation? Anyone have a general idea? Sounds like it must be lunchtime until late evening at least if you all had midnight snacks there.
Ocean Boy Posted October 10, 2005 #20 Share Posted October 10, 2005 The Seaview sounds yummy. Has anyone been there on the Serenade? I assume they have one since it's the same class as Jewel? The Seaview aboard Serenade is very nice. I much prefer the food to Johnny Rocket's. I also prefer the atmosphere. The 50's style diner doesn't do much for me. It is a great place to get an evening snack. Sitting outdoors in the warm Caribbean night...... The memories are coming back tonight.....
sherry7 Posted October 10, 2005 #21 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Is there a Seaview Cafe on the Radiance as well? Anyone know how much the shakes are? Are the shakes as good as the ones as JR's? Thanks! :)
KINGBOBOFTHENORTH Posted October 10, 2005 #22 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Come on folks, hardly anyone knows about the Seaview Cafe. It's in an out-of-the-way place and even when you walk by it, it's easy to miss. So quit telling everyone about it. Let's just keep it our secret. Sun and Fun Posted October 11, 2005 #23 Share Posted October 11, 2005 The Radiance does have the Seaview Cafe and it is GOOD! I know it was open past midnight because on the night of the midnight buffet we took pictures and then went to the Seaview for onion rings and ice cream. :D The onion rings are "yummy yum" in the words of my two-year-old. The chili in the bread bowls was great as was the tuna melt. We enjoyed everything we ate there. We had a few lunches, a couple late night snacks, and other in-between meals. We will be on the Legend of the Seas in January. I will miss the Seaview Cafe. Does the Legend have anything similar?
