Rare MicCanberra Posted February 19, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 19, 2016 No it is two bottles per cabin (not per person). from the website. Guests are not allowed to bring beer, hard liquor or non-alcoholic beverages onboard for consumption or any other use. Guests wishing to bring personal wine and champagne onboard may do so only on boarding day, limited to two (2) 750 ml bottles per stateroom. Additional bottles of wine beyond two (2) bottles that are brought onboard or any alcoholic beverages purchased in ports-of-call or from Shops On Board will be stored by the ship and delivered to your stateroom on the last day of the sailing. Alcoholic beverages seized on embarkation day will not be returned. Security may inspect containers (water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, luggage etc.) and will dispose of containers holding alcohol. Guests who violate any alcohol policies, (over consume, provide alcohol to people under age 21, demonstrate irresponsible behavior, or attempt to conceal alcoholic items at security and or luggage check points or any other time), may be disembarked or not allowed to board, at their own expense, in accordance with our Guest Conduct Policy. Guests who are under the permitted drinking age will not have alcohol returned to them. Please Note: All guests must comply with TSA guidelines for transporting liquids. Rare MicCanberra Posted February 20, 2016 #12 Share Posted February 20, 2016 We took two bottles in our checked luggage last year. No problem. You were lucky then, you may have ended up with wine scented clothes for the duration.
Rare lyndarra Posted February 20, 2016 #13 Share Posted February 20, 2016 We have specially designed bubble mailing packs for wine which are placed in the middle of our bags. Also bought another two in Akaroa which were in our back pack, scanned when reboarding, nothing said. Tried again in Melbourne but came unstuck there, confiscated and stored until we reached Fremantle. Win some, lose some.

One time in Tasmania, we had bought wine and beer from the winery and brewery next to MONA, we had also bought a stack of cheese knives and all of them were for as gifts. Well they took the wine but not the beers or knives, (got the wine on the last night) we were so surprised they didn't confiscate the knives, and allowed them to be taken for the remainder of the cruise.
