Cqis Posted March 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2016 Tell me anything about the casino. Sailing in October 2016, and the casino is one of my bucket list items. Does not matter good or bad I am going there. The problem ,I have no idea of time, dress, currency, drinks protocol. Help:

Ravenscroft Posted April 27, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2016 You need to take your passport, or an identity card to enter the gaming rooms. The tables open at 2pm although the building opens in the morning for people who want to just visit and have a look around. It can be a zoo at times! The currency in Monaco is the Euro. Rare Host Bonjour Posted April 27, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 27, 2016 Tell me anything about the casino. Sailing in October 2016, and the casino is one of my bucket list items. Does not matter good or bad I am going there. The problem ,I have no idea of time, dress, currency, drinks protocol. Help: It's beautiful! I felt more like I was in a museum than in a casino - forget about the picture of a casino that most of us have in our heads...it's not Vegas or the Caribbean hotel type...it's unique. It's comparatively quiet and when I visited, the only game being played that evening was roulette but perhaps later there was some baccarat, I'm not sure. There is a completely separate room with American style games that is off and away from the main area to preserve the calm elegance that is the Monte Carlo casino. I bought my own champagne so I wouldn't presume that one receives a free drink whilst playing roulette - I should think it might depend more on the individual player - they really don't need to give things away in Monaco, it's another world. I didn't care - it was amazing just being there ;) I hope you enjoy your visit to Monaco and the casino - I noticed that one didn't have to be "James Bond" dressed up (tuxedo!)...just definitely NOT casual, not vacation wear. Might as well have some fun and get into the spirit, right?
Rare cruisequeen4ever Posted May 12, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 12, 2016 What time do slots open? What's the lowest denomination of slots? Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Rare Host Bonjour Posted May 14, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 14, 2016 What time do slots open? What's the lowest denomination of slots? Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app American type casino games, including slot machines are not in or on the main gaming area of the magnificent casino. In order to accommodate visitors a limited number of slot machines etc., are in a separate part of the building. Hours should be similar to the regular hours of the rest of the casino hours. The machines accept bank notes starting at 5 Euros and the website states that bets can range from 1 cent up to 10 Euros. Be sure to take note of the day to day variation in currency exchange rates (and any differential in the exchange rate within the casino, if any) so that you are aware of approximately what you are wagering each time in your own currency. I only visited the Casino de Monte Carlo but according to this http://www.casinomontecarlo.com/games/slot-machines/available-slot-machines/ there are three others. There are also themed slot machines (Betty Boop, Lord of the Rings, Sherlock Holmes, Twilight Zone etc) but I do not know in which location one will find which slots, etc. There is an email address you may wish to try using for further information: vip@montecarlocasinos.com which appears to be connected to official Monaco Tourism Société des Bains de Mer. Good luck whilst playing in the casino and on your voyage. :)

Id rather be diving Posted May 23, 2016 #10 Share Posted May 23, 2016 Another great thing is to just sit outside and people watch as well checking out all the cars outside of the casino. What we think of as expensive cars here in the states are not even allowed in front of the casino. It's pretty fun.
