audome78 Posted March 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2016 We are currently waiting for Customs and immigration. They have put a hold on all disembark ation. The delay is approaching 40 minutes. I am not sure if the self assist folks got off or not, and we are staying on for a b2b, so it doesn't really affect us. But the ship is full of impatient folks. Another reason not to book that early flight out of MCO. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
Mr. Tu Posted March 13, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2016 We were on board but escaped carrying our own bags around 7:30. Did you ever make it through customs and find out the reason for the delay? Hope you had a good cruise and even better b2b
Kimmy0303 Posted March 13, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2016 We were scheduled to disembark at 8:45. It was after 9:00 when we did and then over an hour in line for customs.
audome78 Posted March 14, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted March 14, 2016 The delay was ifor to a lack of immigration agents. There were for ships in port and only 16 agents. It is usually 3 ships and 20+ agents.
Beardface Posted March 14, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2016 Exact same thing happened on March 6th. At around 9:15 they shut down the disembarkation line due to being overwhelmed in the baggage area. The delay lasted about 20-30 minutes before they began letting passengers off again. 2 weeks in a row. Good job, Homeland Security. Can't wait to see how 'efficient' you are when the Oasis comes down later this year. Though, it can't be any worse than the 3 out of 10 immigration gates you were using at Port Everglades when we disembarked in 2014.
Rare Keith1010 Posted March 14, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 14, 2016 Sorry to hear about the delay. A reminder that sometimes things don't go as scheduled. That has been our experience at all USA ports. Keith
