stleda124 Posted March 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2016 I am booking two balcony staterooms on deck 7 but next to each other on the aft. Couple questions. 1. Has anyone stayed in these staterooms of any of the sunset veranda staterooms and recommend a specific stateroom? 2. It will have gorgeous views but will the diesel soot from the ship blow directly to these balconies? 3. If we have both rooms right next to each other will be able to remove the partition between the two and share one larger balcony? Anything else I should know about these staterooms please let me know!!! Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
justcrusn Posted March 13, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2016 1. Your best resource is the s class spreadsheet, it is a sticky at the top of the categories. The 4th cabin from the right (starboard) side has a wider balcony, look at photos of the rear of the ship. 2. Our experience is that yes, there is some soot. Not a big deal, I advise to book it anyway for the million dollar view. Also, If sailing eastbound the setting sun will make your cabin very warm. Book it anyway. 3. The partitions are hinged and can almost always be opened. I highly recommend them, only thing better is concierge (C1) or a suite. And solstice has a few aft aqua cabins, but I think it's the only ship. Enjoy your cruise
jono mono Posted March 13, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2016 We had a sv cabin on the 7th deck on the solstice in late 2014 ,no problems with soot and the cabin stewards checked everyday, they can be opened to next door and what a brilliant view especially on leaving places, only problem is a longish walk from the lifts, but my legs are old, enjoy book it !!!!! Croooser Posted March 13, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2016 The 4th from the right on each deck have a wider valcony. They are highly sought after and usually book early. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1836478

Is there a huge difference in reference to the rooms and your statement on wider balcony from deck 7 to deck 6?
