twroths Posted March 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2016 Due to flight schedules we are spending an extra night in Quebec City. Staying at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Quite excited about that!! Can anyone help with these questions:[*]Best way to get from the cruise terminal to the hotel? Taxi? Private Car?[*]Best way to get from the hotel to the airport?[*]How is Canadian Customs handled once you arrive in Quebec City?[*]Is there US Immigration at the airport or do we do that in Philadelphia on our way back to the US? Thanks!! Tom Hotel to Airport about $35CN That hotel is about 1/2 mile from pier , up a very steep hill . Could easily walk it (via the Funicular) if it wasn't for your luggage . Cab should be a very short/cheap ride. CN Customs on the ship , US Customs at destination airport .
Kamloops50 Posted March 22, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2016 If you are connecting to the US thru Montreal or Toronto . There will be pre clearance in those two airports.

Ottawa too (as well as several other Canadian airports less likely to be used by someone on a connecting flight from Quebec City to the US). http://www.cbp.gov/border-security/ports-entry/operations/preclearance
SEFlyer Posted March 23, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2016 Prime Minister Trudeau and President Obama agreed 2 weeks ago to expand US pre-clearance in Canada. The Quebec Airport is one of the new locations to get pre-clearance. So it may depend on when you fly and how soon they implement this.
