Accura Beach

My preference is Accra Beach, but I'll explain the differences.

Boatyard is a place.. it's a building with a restaurant, bar showers etc. You pay one price and you get tokens to use towards the purchase of your meal, drinks etc. Price includes the water toys out in Carlisle Bay and the Rope swing off the pier (which I think is owned by Boatyard). You also get chairs and umbrella's. The beach is free for anyone to use but you will get a wrist band so you can go back and forth to the Bar, etc.

The beach itself is flat, mostly flat water (unless there is a storm somewhere out there then there is a slight swell). Nice long beach to walk, which you can do all the way to the new Barbados Hilton.

Accra Beach is a great smaller stretch of sand. There are beach vendors that sell everything from food to clothing to the rental of beach chairs and umbrellas. Close to the food area is a beach facility with showers and bathrooms. You don't have to pay for the use of this facility. De Rock is the food place I would recommend in that area. (it's owned by a friend of mine, Pat). on the eastern end of the stretch of beach is Sugar Reef which is a beach restaurant, which serves sit down lunches etc.

The sea there is a bit rougher (usually), but can be flat water on occasion.

Take your pick and have a great time.
