srp1419 Posted April 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2016 Hi! We purchased a ring at an EFFY store in port while on a Carnival cruise. It's very beautiful, paid just under $2000, since then I have seen a pair of earrings there I just love. EFFY said they have an upgrading policy, however I didn't ask too many questions about it. Could I potentially give this ring back, and get a smaller more modest ring and the earrings if they equal the same price as my first ring (or if more expensive I would pay the difference)? Thanks for any input you have.
time4u2go Posted April 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2016 Have you tried contacting Effy directly? They have a website.
CGoguen Posted April 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2016 This sounds like a question for Effy, not cruise critic
gagirl7143 Posted April 11, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2016 Most of the time you must pay a certain amount more to up grade.
srp1419 Posted April 11, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted April 11, 2016 This sounds like a question for Effy, not cruise critic I thought other CRUISERS may have purchased from EFFY since they are taking over quite a few ships.

bouhunter Posted April 11, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 11, 2016 (edited) Many Caribbean jewelers will give you something on trade in. It's just a matter of what they'll give you for what you already own and what the price will be on what you want. I doubt they'll do anything remotely or online, likely you'd have to do anything on a trade in person. Edited April 11, 2016 by bouhunter
