Louise34 Posted April 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2016 We will be staying in Boston MA for 2 nights in Oct before our Canada/New England cruise. Any suggestions for a reasonable hotel in the heart of the city near public transportation. A plus would be a shuttle/transportation to the cruiseport. Thanks so much
Rare 1025cruise Posted April 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2016 What are your dates in October? You won't find any of the downtown hotels with a cruiseport shuttle.

karylrocks Posted April 15, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 15, 2016 I can't post the link right now but if you go to that board and scroll down to April 2 you will see my thread and why I chose Seaport.
138east Posted April 16, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 16, 2016 It looks like your dates are Oct 21-23, which is the Head of the Charles weekend. Prices are going to be very high and it is important to make at least some sort of cancellable reservation NOW. What is your realistic hotel budget? Two people? Driving or flying? Rare 1025cruise Posted April 16, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 16, 2016 Ugh, Head of the Charles weekend. As 138east, book a refundable room NOW (do not pass go, do not collect $200). Then, you can start looking to see if you can find a deal.

Thanks so much try searching on the website: stay123 dot com I used that when we cruised out of Boston, got a really nice hotel (HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS BOSTON CRUISEPORT AND AIRPORT) and we were able to leave our car there. A shuttle took us to the Port (2 miles away) and picked us up after the cruise. GOOD LUCK!
misty57 Posted June 6, 2016 #8 Share Posted June 6, 2016 I don't know about the prices right now, but on our previous stay in Boston we stayed one night at the Seaport which was nice but out of the way and lots of $$$. On our return after our cruise we were unable to fly home due to hurricane Sandy, but had a reservation at the Bostonian which is right across the street from Quincy market. The hotel was lovely and they we're very accommodating when we had to e tend our stay by 2 nights. I would stay there again without hesitation.
