atnolan94 Posted April 15, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 15, 2016 Only $40 for free taxes and port fees? Are the rules different for CLS? I am booked on the BOGO w/ free gratuities(OBC). Suite gratuities are over $15pp/pd for a total of 231 over 7 days. I looked its actually $4....not $40.

Rare cc-riderslc Posted April 15, 2016 #20 Share Posted April 15, 2016 I canceled and rebooked today on an Eastern Mediterranean and saved $135. It helped that the CAS discount and BOGO combined with the free taxes and fees.

moopetguy Posted April 15, 2016 #22 Share Posted April 15, 2016 With the tax-free promo, my Liberty sailing in November is almost $70 cheaper, but I would lose $100 in OBC obtained from the recent WOW sale. So, it wouldn't make sense for me to re-price my booking.
Rare L454S Posted April 15, 2016 #23 Share Posted April 15, 2016 What a surprise.....my booking on a the Navigator is now $12 more with the FREE TAXES than I paid without. They went up on the room price just enough to cover the "SALE".........
OntarioTraveller Posted April 15, 2016 #24 Share Posted April 15, 2016 I booked our February Jewel cruise a few months ago when it was 30% off. The free grats sale didn't reduce the price. I just checked the current sale, Bogo plus free taxes and fees, and the bottom line price is the same exactly as the last sale at least $50 more than we paid. They just increased the base fare of the cruise by over $100 per person!! I'm new to RC and not impressed.

We are coming up to the two-year anniversary of the fake sales, and unfortunately it appears that this is now a permanent pricing sceme with Royal.
