Advice needed on where to stay in Seattle for Pre-Cruise/Priceline bid

What area of Seattle should we put in for in Seattle for a pre-cruise stay (done on our own)? We were hoping to get a nice hotel for little $$ on Priceline near the Pike's Market etc.. or other attractions(Space Needle etc). Any ideas?

Hi,

We are staying at the Crowne Plaza, which I got through PriceLine. Earlier today I was reading through posts, either here or on the Alaska board, and several people said it is nice. It is near the market and about a mile from the Space Needle. Looks like it is about a 10 min. cab ride to Pier 30 for Princess. Good Luck. How are things in Iowa? I went to Grinnell.

We stayed at the Hotel Monacco, which was around 5 minutes from the water, and in the heart of the downtown area. It was very nice, and I think ended up being around $130 per night, with some special deal. I've stayed in hotels costing twice that that weren't as nice. I'd definitely reccomend it.

On Priceline you want to use the Downtown Seattle zone icon_smile.gif

We booked the Days inn, $75 it isn't real posh, but I hate going from a big room to a much smaller cabin, so we only go for clean, safe and close. We only go up a day early so the morning of is relaxed instead of airport dependent anxiety.
