Luggage direct San Diego

We are new to HA, and in Jan 17 we booked a cruise from San Diego .

We have a mid afternoon flight so luggage direct would be interesting, but on the HA website It says coming soon for San Diego....

As It been saying coming soon for years ? If so Any ideas of what to do with luggage ?

Our October cruise ends in San Diego and we are the same situation. HAL site shows luggage direct but only on AA. Hoping Alaska is added before then.

HAL used to have Luggage Direct out of San Diego.

But it was stopped when HAL stopped the majority of their Mexican cruises. They have to sign contracts for those services and with HAL only doing a handful of Mexican for a few years, it was not worth the money to pay for that service.

Now that the Westerdam will be doing a season's worth of cruises, HAL should bring back that service.

I would recommend going to HAL's website under "Contact Us" and send a request about Luggage Direct (Make sure to include your air carrier). Good to let them know there is interest.
