Mrs. Squirrel Posted May 16, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2016 I cruise every February to escape winter. I actually prefer Southern this time of year, because then you know it will be warm enough to comfortably swim and snorkel. Other than that, I don't see much temp difference between Eastern and Western (Bahamas not included, as it is always iffy in winter) if weather is why you are asking. Demonyte Posted May 16, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 16, 2016 Yep, does not matter. The weather can be a hit or miss depending on the winds anyway.

debshomespun Posted May 16, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 16, 2016 Another Southern here to be sure the weather is HOT, HOT, HOT! The ABC islands are a great place to visit. Mother Nature can be nasty any time of the year. As of the seas, they can be rough one day and smooth a day or 2 later.
dolita22 Posted May 16, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 16, 2016 We bounce between eastern and western and typically sail at the end of January. Prefer eastern for itinerary, but as someone mentioned, that itin usually includes the Bahamas, which can be chilly. I want to do the southern itinerary one of these days, but we really like sea days and souther itineraries don't usually have many of those.
