Afternoon Island Tour excursion or on our own?

Our ship will be in dock from 7:00am - 5:00pm on Wed. June 22nd. We have horseback riding scheduled at 10:00 on Nevis and, if the ferry is on time, we should be back to St. Kitts about 1:30.

 

We would also like to get a tour of the island, maybe 2 1/2 hours or so, from about 1:30/2:00 getting us back to the ship by 4:30.

 

I'm sure most of the tours go in the morning, but would we be able to find an island tour in the afternoon? Is this something I should try to book ahead of time, or are there plenty of taxis/buses at the docks that we can just grab when we arrive back on St Kitts dock? It will just be myself and my 21 year old daughter.

There are plenty of taxis at the square near the ship. You can ask for an island highlight tour.
