maryjaden Posted December 1, 2016 #326 Share Posted December 1, 2016 Was Chops under construction or was the club still there? If the club wasn't there, were the parties in the Viking Crown or somewhere else? Thanks! Chops was under construction. Many activities were moved to Viking Crown. If you kept the compasses, would you mind scanning/taking pictures of one and sending it to me? I'd appreciate it.

sweetlove13 Posted December 3, 2016 #330 Share Posted December 3, 2016 Agree with you 100%. One of the things we were looking forward to on our recent sailing was Chops because we really enjoyed it on other ships. We were told Giovanni's would have the Chops menu. As it turned out, it was a very limited menu (4 items). We had to specifically ask and even then the waiter acted like we offended him. We ordered a mix of items, the food was ok and the service was very slow. Not what I expected from Giovanni's because I had heard it was very good also. I was surprised to find that the only steak you can get in the MDR now is to get the Chops steak (even though there is no Chops onboard) for $16.95, no more steak nightly on the classics menu. How long has it been that way? I was hoping for the new menus but still the same old tired menus. By day 6 I was really tired of the food. I'm booked on a 13 day next year, not sure what I will do then. This was only my fifth Royal cruise & I'm already tired of their food, can't imagine what people on their 20th cruise do Sent from my iPhone using Forums

sweetlove13 Posted December 3, 2016 #332 Share Posted December 3, 2016 I only went to the MDR three nights but the only steak I saw was the Chops steak for a additional fee. Thought about getting it one night but decided in the free chicken instead. Is it possible I missed the steak on the menu? maryjaden Posted December 3, 2016 #333 Share Posted December 3, 2016 Not sure if this was mentioned before, but there are 8 hand washing stations outside of the Windjammer. 4 on each side, though not all of them were operational.

jticarruthers Posted December 4, 2016 #344 Share Posted December 4, 2016 IIRC Escargot was on the menu every night, Shrimp cocktail was only on the menu for the formal nights but they obviously didn't "sell" well as they brought them out for my son every night except the 1st night. maryjaden Posted December 5, 2016 #350 Share Posted December 5, 2016 I have included a link to download compasses from my Nov. 14 - 19 cruise. Day 1 - Sail Away Day 2 - At Sea Day 3 - Barbados Day 4 - St. Lucia for some reason, I can't find my Day 5. Each page is named, Day 1 pg 1 for example. For some reason they didn't save in the order I downloaded them. Sorry for the confusion, I'm new at this. Hope you all have a great cruise! http://s392.photobucket.com/user/Maryannmaas/library/?sort=3&page=
