2016 trip reports

Recommended Posts

Hopefully lots of travelers will be returning soon, wanting to share information about their cruise experience, excursions, activities, vendors, land travel, etc.

Please start your own thread to post the trip report. It would be helpful if the first line included the SHIP, ITINERARY, DATE, EXCURSIONS, and who travelled. Then paste a link to your report into THIS thread.

Hi! I'm a long time lurker who has been reading these boards ever since my family proposed a trip to Alaska. Cruise Critic recaps and reviews were crucial to helping me decide what to do - and whether to go in the first place - so I wished to give back and share my own experiences.

As per the title, I wasn't sure that cruising would suit me. I ended up having a blast. I hope my report is especially useful to any potential cruisers in a similar boat - pun very much intended.

Radiance of the Seas southbound, 6/24 - 7/1 + Vancouver & Seattle

Juneau - Level 3 Extended Glacier Trek via Helicopter with Northstar Trekking

Skagway - Triple Adventure Tour (Hike, Bike, Float) with Sockeye Cycling and Skagway Float Tours, Red Onion Saloon, Hike to Lower Dewey Lake

Icy Strait - Cannery Museum, Hoonah

Ketchikan - Dolly's House, Totem Bight Park and Lunch Creek Trail with Wild Wolf Tours

Vancouver - Grand Tour with Cycle City Tours

Seattle - EMP Museum, Chihuly Glass and Gardens, Mt. Rainier

Here's my review:

It's for the July 1-8 on the Radiance of the Seas, Northbound. Travelers: 1 grandma, 2 40-year olds, 1 30-year old, and 1 10-year old.

You need to scroll down a bit - I had issues with photo links not working. The review is also in my signature and that one will eventually include video (not for a while, though).

Just started my trip report.

We cruised the NCL Pearl on June 26th with stops in Juneau, Skagway, Cruised Glacier Bay, Ketchikan, and Victoria B.C.

The report will cover our travel, time in Seattle , and of course the cruise and excursions.

Looking forward to reading more, we have the same trip planned for August 2017
