changalvin Posted June 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2016 Will be sailing with Allure in sept with 4 adults and 1 18 months baby girl. Is it worth it to pay $65 each at the Hilton for their private beach or the public beach next door would work just fine? thecoconut Posted June 3, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2016 We did the day pass with my 2 year old and 7 month old. We really enjoyed it! It was an easy walk and we felt safe. The hotel wasn't crowded at all and they had beach toys for the kids. You also received $40 credit per person to use towards food and alcohol. We plan to do it again. DrDani226 Posted June 4, 2016 #6 Share Posted June 4, 2016 We really liked it too. Went when my son was 2. Quiet beach, hardly anyone was there. With the $40 food credit it's really a pretty good deal.
jrm9999 Posted June 4, 2016 #7 Share Posted June 4, 2016 When my kids were babies we would go here and use the pool since you could use swim diapers in a hotel pool but not on ship.
matt082600 Posted June 4, 2016 #8 Share Posted June 4, 2016 I've never been there myself, but my family and I have contemplated going several times, so I researched it quite a bit. From what I read, it gets very favorable reviews and seems to be worth the money. Also, I haven't been to the "free" beach next door, but I don't recall it having changing rooms or bathroom facilities.

Geeocacher Posted June 5, 2016 #11 Share Posted June 5, 2016 Can you just show up for this or does it need to be reserved with them?
jrm9999 Posted June 5, 2016 #12 Share Posted June 5, 2016 We always just showed up. It's been a few years so don't know if the policy has changed. You might want to try asking this in the port of call forum.
msjaxson Posted June 5, 2016 #13 Share Posted June 5, 2016 We did it last month and loved it ....we booked thru resort for a day ahead of time...they require a deposit- balance due day of... we had friends who went to the free beach and said there was quite a bit of glass..I would definitely do BCH again..for what works out to $20 a person it was great !!! I had contacted the hilton directly and they emailed me a list of four sites to buy the passes so my guess is they dont sell them directly. Rosiesmom1234 Posted June 5, 2016 #16 Share Posted June 5, 2016 Does anyone know how late we can stay at the Hilton with a day pass? We will dock in Nassau at 1 pm. There will be no rush to return to the ship as we don't depart till midnight. Thanks!!
autopilotOH Posted June 6, 2016 #17 Share Posted June 6, 2016 The public beach you're referring to is Junkanoo Beach. It's busy, great food and drink prices at Bikini Tiki Hut, wifi, and public restrooms. The sand has a lot of shells in places, like gravel. For a relaxing beach--Hilton; to have a blast partying--Junkanoo. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
barbarah Posted June 6, 2016 #18 Share Posted June 6, 2016 Hi. Is it $65 each for children also?
thecoconut Posted June 6, 2016 #19 Share Posted June 6, 2016 Hi. Is it $65 each for children also? I did not need to pay for my 2 year old and baby. I'm not sure what age they begin charging. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Geeocacher Posted June 6, 2016 #20 Share Posted June 6, 2016 Hi. Is it $65 each for children also? Children 6-12 are either $30 or $33 depending on the site you look at, and include a $20 food credit. Under 6 are free, but get no food credit.
