marcyjane Posted June 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2016 Flying into FLL Southwest Airlines day before cruise from Port of Miami. Does anyone know if there is a Hotel in Miami that offers hotel airport shuttle from the FLL airport to their hotel. Will also need shuttle service back to FLL airport after the cruise. Thanks in advance for your help and any information you might can give me.
JohninDC Posted June 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2016 Since the drive takes about 45+ minutes, the answer is no. Lots of similar threads on this board. You have options - I would choose to stay in the FLL area and use shared shuttles to get to/from the port of Miami (POM). Fares start at about $15 per person each way. SAS, QLS, MJS, Go Airport and others are often suggested on this board. You could also grab a taxi for about $75-80 (not bad for 4 in a cab) or Uber for under $50 (unless surge pricing is in effect). http://www.sunny.org has lots of info on the FLL area and hotels. If you choose to stay in downtown Miami (close to POM) the availability of shared shuttles goes down later in the day, and the prices go up. Taxi and Uber are still available. From your downtown hotel a cab to POM the next morning will run about $12-14. Hyatt, Doubletree, Intercontinental, various Marriotts and the Hampton Inn Mary Brickell are all often suggested hotels close to POM and local Miami dining options. Post cruise your transport options back to FLL are the same - shared shuttle, taxi, & Uber. Or spring for a limo - Larry's Limos is often suggested on this board. przyk Posted June 6, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2016 How many people are you traveling with? That may make a difference in your most cost effective option. We flew into FLL on Southwest and took UberXL to our Miami hotel because there were 5 of us. If there are just 2 you can do regular Uber. It was my first time using Uber and it was very easy. We used SAS shuttle for the return because we had a 12:50 flight. They were waiting and very efficient. I think they charge $15 per person. We got it for $12 because there were 7 of us returning. Zeta3 Posted June 6, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 6, 2016 We have three people and usually stay in the Miami-Brickell area. Go Airport Shuttle has been very reliable with a private car costing $92.

JohninDC Posted June 7, 2016 #7 Share Posted June 7, 2016 Well that makes it easy! Lots of hotels in the FLL area to choose from and Taxis and Uber are easy and cheap. http://www.sunny.org is where I would start my search. ;)
Sweet68 Posted June 14, 2016 #8 Share Posted June 14, 2016 The best shuttle service in town is Jiffy Jeff Transportation - most transfers during peak cruise times are $15pp to and from FLL and MIA Port - They are very reliable with beautiful Mercedes vans and very nice drivers. They even track your flights. Great communication 305-588-6143 http://www.gojiffyjeff.com. We will not use anyone else.
