cascargirl Posted June 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2016 Hi folks, Can someone clarify for me....if on a cruise departing Australia, is the onboard currency AUD or is it still USD?
Amtrac Posted June 13, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2016 I have not found anything but USA currency but only sea pass used onboard. Bill settled in USA currency at the end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bigbluegal Posted June 13, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 13, 2016 Do the ports of call accept USD? Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Caymen, Cozumel
BekkaW Posted June 13, 2016 #6 Share Posted June 13, 2016 Do the ports of call accept USD? Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Caymen, Cozumel This thread is about cruises departing from Australia which wouldn't hit those ports...but in general many places do accept small USD notes. If you're stopping in Labadee Haiti the area you stop in is controlled by RCI and most things can be on your sea pass, but if you want to buy souvenirs in the straw market you can use USD. We also had no problems using it in Cozumel or Jamaica but small notes only.
