dbeckett Posted July 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2016 On the Vision cruise TV show there was a comment that the Majestic Princess will have go karts on a top deck!! Can anyone confirm or deny it? There is nothing in the current information about the Majestic on the Princess website so I'm wondering if he got it mixed up with a Carnival ship. Coveguy4 Posted July 14, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2016 Gosh... That would not be something most Princess passengers (IMHO) would embrace!

dbeckett Posted July 14, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted July 14, 2016 Glad to hear it isn't likely. When we heard the comment we looked at each other in disbelief.
billco Posted July 14, 2016 #8 Share Posted July 14, 2016 I think having go karts on the jogging track at certain times could be fun. I don't see why it would be a problem.

nukesubsailor Posted July 14, 2016 #10 Share Posted July 14, 2016 I think having go karts on the jogging track at certain times could be fun. I don't see why it would be a problem. It would be fun only if you are the driver. Everyone else would have a problem with the noise and exhaust fumes. And you could bet some idiot would have a wreck. There are people who can't safely control scooters going 2 miles per hour. I certainly don't want to get run into by a go kart going 20 mph. Rare Coral Posted July 15, 2016 #14 Share Posted July 15, 2016 (edited) Quantum of the Seas (and her sister) has bumper carts. I would never have dreamed that a cruise ship would have those. Edited July 15, 2016 by Coral

moki'smommy Posted July 15, 2016 #16 Share Posted July 15, 2016 It doesn't seem like the Princess crowd to me...and if P decides to abandon their base to attract the tweens, it would be a huge mistake.
MJSailors Posted July 15, 2016 #17 Share Posted July 15, 2016 Go karts??!! What would be next- rock climbing walls, rope courses, walking the plank, water slides ? Someone may be confusing Princess with some other cruise lines.

Rare mpolachek24 Posted July 15, 2016 #21 Share Posted July 15, 2016 Y'all have to remember the market Princess is pushing Majestic out to, the Asia region. Maybe those people are more inclined to do this sort of exciting activity. It seems a "safe track" from the concept photo with walls and a defined track so no walkers there....what if the glass acts as a sound deadener? Doesn't sound like something that's huge in China. I've been there twice and Go-Karts was never mentioned as being popular there.
