Sand and Seas Posted July 20, 2016 #26 Share Posted July 20, 2016 Not sure what the zzzz's are for, if you don't care about the price of water for the week then just move on and don't take the time to be a part of the conversation. Agree! Many of us are finding this information very useful to plan for our next cruise. Isn't that the point of this forum? Very grateful to OP for filling us in on current conditions on board. AdoraBelle Posted July 20, 2016 #27 Share Posted July 20, 2016 Aren't these prices slightly less than the "savings" for ordering online before boarding? This is getting confusing! Hmm, on my Escape for October, under Beverage Packages, they show what appear to be 20oz bottles of Aquafina (so that's less than a liter and less than a quart) for the following prices: (24-pack) PRICE $70.74 (18-pack) PRICE $58.94 (12-pack) PRICE $47.14 (6-pack) PRICE $27.08 This is the photo they use that leads me to the '20 oz' conclusion: https://www.ncl.com/sites/default/files/AM_Bottled_Water_204.jpg If so, those prices are pretty freaking absurd. p.s., this handy link is helpful for the Zzzzz guy and similar: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/profile.php?do=ignorelist
TenForward Posted July 20, 2016 #28 Share Posted July 20, 2016 Aren't these prices slightly less than the "savings" for ordering online before boarding? This is getting confusing! I noticed the same thing. Buying in advance is supposed to get you a deal. I'll be buying in advance but waiting until a week or 2 before my cruise -- hoping the price comes down a bit. Rare PhillyTravelBug Posted July 20, 2016 #29 Share Posted July 20, 2016 That is steep for purified water. I'm second guessing my deposit on a future cruise this September.
aquarianne11 Posted July 20, 2016 #30 Share Posted July 20, 2016 They charged $5.50 plus 18% tip for a total of $6.49 for the 1qt (33.8 oz exact size for both brands, a little over 1 qt.). I've already gone through 2 of them, I'll use 1 per day, my husband maybe 1/2 per day. It will be expensive by the end of the week. Thanks for the info! We are usually die hard NCL cruisers but we decided to take a different line since it goes from LA to Hawaii and back. They are charging $3.99 for a 12-pk of bottled water (16.9 oz bottles).
