graceinga Posted July 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2016 Does anyone have any info on this? Do they still have $5 or $6 minimum tables or is everything at $10 now?
davecttr Posted July 19, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2016 (edited) Does anyone have any info on this? Do they still have $5 or $6 minimum tables or is everything at $10 now? I hope you get an answer. I asked the same question about Epic a few days ago but no responses. the latest information I found which appears to be a year or so old is: $6 table - continuous shuffler 6:5 payout on blackjack $10 to $25 tables - continuous shuffler, 3:2 payout on blackjack $50 table - hand shuffle, 3:2 payout edit - I just checked again and I got 2 replies but no additional information Edited July 19, 2016 by davecttr
Mandy412 Posted July 19, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2016 I played a $6 table with a crappy auto shuffler last month.

davecttr Posted July 20, 2016 #6 Share Posted July 20, 2016 If they use an auto shuffler that is just the same as a hand shuffled game except the dealer does not use their hands for shuffling ;) A continuous shuffler does what it says on the tin, continuously shuffles!. The discards go in the shuffler and the shoe is shuffled between each round of betting. This of course stops people from card counting but if you are a basic strategy player it slightly increases the odds in your favour. With a shuffler there are more betting rounds per hour so the casino makes more money. Another negative aspect might be less socialisation between players during the shuffle. On my Epic cruise I intend to avoid the $6 table because of the low payout for a blackjack, however the 'odds' are still better than roulette. as I can't afford a $50 dollar table I will try one in the $10 - $25 range, preferably a lower limit busy table. johnql Posted July 20, 2016 #7 Share Posted July 20, 2016 For anyone who is considering the $6 min table with 6:5 BJ payout, here's another annoying way that the casino is increasing the house edge. If you play the $6 minimum and get a BJ, you're supposed to received $7.20. However, since the casino will not round up to a quarter and will not give you two dimes, you will only receive $7. In effect, you are getting a 7:6 payout on BJ, not 6:5. It's a somewhat devious way of "cheating" you of your full payout. Plus, once you figure it out, you can accept the lower payout, bump your minimum bet up to $10 in order to receive the full 6:5 payout ($12), or not gamble at a $6 table. Yes, I realize we're only talking about 20 cents but I still think it's a sneaky way to increase the house odds without really advertising it.
