cruzzza Posted July 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2016 Is there a rhyme or reason to this? Does anyone know if there's a pattern or a general rule I could follow to get a lower number. I also wonder if room category, or position forward, midship or aft plays a part as well as what deck. (Not interested in self-assist.)
SadieN Posted July 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2016 On the West Coast cruises Diamonds and Platinums get #1 FTTF get #2 The higher decks get the lower numbers. The lower decks get the higher numbers. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
teempee123 Posted July 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2016 On the Sunshine deck 8 was zone 24 I was surprised because I always had a low number on the higher deck.
beachbum53 Posted July 21, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 21, 2016 I don't think the zone numbers for debarkation are given based on where your cabin is on the ship. They are given based on the time of your departing flight. For example, those with a departing flight time of 11:30 a.m. will have a lower zone number than those with a flight time of 1:30 p.m. Self debarkation is done first, with no zone number required. And, if you need a different zone number (either lower or higher), either talk to your cabin steward or go to Guest Services.
winddawn Posted July 21, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 21, 2016 Those with early flights usually get lower numbers too.

Elaine5715 Posted July 21, 2016 #7 Share Posted July 21, 2016 Higher decks get higher zone numbers unless the stateroom occupants have anther qualifier like mentioned above. When they go by decks, the lower decks go first.
Sweet Dutch Girl Posted July 21, 2016 #8 Share Posted July 21, 2016 In my experience zone numbers have been assigned from the lower to mid, and the upper to mid with the mid decks debarking last.
maldenmusic Posted July 21, 2016 #9 Share Posted July 21, 2016 Last week getting off the Triumph, our deck 2 was given a Zone 4 departure. We had to leave earlier because of transportation so we got off as soon as they started calling for Zone 1. No one said a word and we were able to make our flight.
