Good morning,

My question is specific to Miami airport, to / from Port Everglades. Looking for those who’ve recently used UBER / Lyft to / from Miami airport and Port Everglades?

1. Were there any issues with either location (can’t seem to get clarification if providers are allowed)?

2. Are there designated pickup / drop off locations?

3. How long did you have to wait to be picked up?

4. Recall what cost was?

Both providers have just recently been allowed here at Phoenix Sky Harbor, and we just want to make sure we’ll have no problems at Miami Airport / Port Everglades. Thank you for your help and replies.

We used UBER this past May in Miami. From airport to South Beach, South Beach to Port and Port to Airport. Worked seamlessly and saved a good deal of money. Forget exact amounts, but the 3 combined was about the cost of one taxi ride from airport to cruiseport.

Your answers:

1. No issues at all.

2. Picked up where any other arranged rides would be picked up. Just be sure to use the app's location - don't type in Cruise port for pick up. This way they can locate you via GPS.

3. We waited about 5 mins to get picked up at each location. Though, we hand carried our luggage off the ship (only a 3-nighter), so were one of the first off the ship.

4. Can't remember the cost exactly - but we picked UBER Pool getting off the ship, as UBER XL was more than a taxi. What this means is that you MIGHT share your ride with someone else -- but we didn't. We plan to always use UBER in Miami

1. Were there any issues with either location (can’t seem to get clarification if providers are allowed)? I Uber/Lyft a lot, but haven't done Miami-Port Everglades rent a car, since it's usually about 30-40.00 to Uber and we can get a rental for that.

2. Are there designated pickup / drop off locations? From MIA airport, make sure you are in passenger pick up in the ground transportation. When you call the Uber, you can send the driver a msg at what number terminal you are at, at the ground transportation area.

3. How long did you have to wait to be picked up? typically, 5-7 minutes at most.

4. Recall what cost was? http://uberestimate.com/

it will be similar to the estimate you get now. Although it might be more during peak travel times, like rush hour.
