Ktravels Posted July 29, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2016 Just booked the Yacht Club experience for the Divina in August, ahd we have a couple of questions. !. Can you order off the menu in Le Muse, my husband just loves lobster, and would eat it every night if he could, can he request lobster if its not on the menu? 2. Are the sodas included in LeMuse, or what are the drinks included at dinner? 3. Does any one know if they have Splenda on board. 4. Is there coffee available in the Yacht club lounge in the morning, or can we get it delivered to your room. 5. And a crazy question, but What does a Butler do for you? Rare Cruisergal1208 Posted July 29, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2016 Just booked the Yacht Club experience for the Divina in August, ahd we have a couple of questions.!. Can you order off the menu in Le Muse, my husband just loves lobster, and would eat it every night if he could, can he request lobster if its not on the menu? You can request it but no guarantee of getting it. 2. Are the sodas included in LeMuse, or what are the drinks included at dinner? Yes any thing available in the Top Sail lounge will be available in LeMuse. 3. Does any one know if they have Splenda on board. Yes, just ask. 4. Is there coffee available in the Yacht club lounge in the morning, or can we get it delivered to your room. Yes to both. After the first morning they will know how you want it. 5. And a crazy question, but What does a Butler do for you? The butler and assistant takes care of your stateroom, fills any special requests. They also will be in the lounge and somethings at the pool. They will escort you to LeMuse, and off the ship. Some use them to unpack and pack but we don't do that. They will spoil you!!!!😀

Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted July 30, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 30, 2016 Just booked the Yacht Club experience for the Divina in August, ahd we have a couple of questions.!. Can you order off the menu in Le Muse, my husband just loves lobster, and would eat it every night if he could, can he request lobster if its not on the menu? Request away, not sure it's going to happen, but never hurts to ask. 2. Are the sodas included in LeMuse, or what are the drinks included at dinner? There is no bar specific to LeMuse. Therefore your servers assistant will leave LeMuse and gather your drinks from the Garden Bar located port side of deck 15. Because of this, ANY drink that is served in the garden bar onboard can be had in LeMuse :). 3. Does any one know if they have Splenda on board. They have the traditional yellow, pink, and blue packets. But if you are allergic to anything but splenda you already know to read the ingredients on the packages. Last time I was on RCL they had all the colors, but each contained the same ingredient. 4. Is there coffee available in the Yacht club lounge in the morning, or can we get it delivered to your room. We had coffee delivered, but it came in two small cups instead of a pot like we are used to. And the coffee is strong! We ended up just dressing and enjoying our morning coffee in top sail. For me, one of the best things about YC was being able to get a mocha latte in the morning. Didn't happen every morning due to language barriers, but it was a lovely setting. 5. And a crazy question, but What does a Butler do for you? Butler didn't do much of anything for me and was MIA for a bit of the trip. Our Butler on MSC was nothing more than a really good room steward and didn't even compare to Butlers I've had on other vacations where they insist on doing my ironing and sending me home with all clean clothes. In fairness, I"m pretty low maintenance. I do not want an escort to dinner and it seems that was a very popular request given the flurry of activity heading to LeMuse in the evening :). I consider being spoiled by getting drinks served to me while I relax by the pool which did not happen on MSC. The absolute BEST thing for us about the butler was being escorted off the ship since we arrived into Miami late and it was an utter cluster. Don't get me wrong, You will most certainly enjoy the extra services of a butler, but for me, the service wasn't over the top in YC. Replies in red above. These are just my experiences. Your mileage will vary. Not every butler is created equal :).
deliver42 Posted July 30, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 30, 2016 I don't know where you were or when, but I had no problem getting drinks by the pool. In fact, the service was great throughout the ship.Either my butler or another was always available in the YC to get whatever we wanted, when ever we wanted. Many people agree with you that the service wass great but if you read the reviews (and a few other posters here) you will see that there are more than just me that did not experience good service at one pool. We spent hours and hours up there each day and saw a server maybe 5 times. We were sitting in front of the Jacuzzi closer to port side because it was much more crowded near the starboard side/bar. Looked like those SITTING in the bar under the shade did fine with service. Those of us trying to lay in the sun away from the action were missed. The couple a few chairs down from us actually complained to management.
mafig Posted July 30, 2016 #7 Share Posted July 30, 2016 (edited) I did ask if my dh could order a before-dinner drink in Le Muse. Although I didn't post it, what I was questioning was whether there was a full-service bar in LeMuse. Happy to hear, that although there is not, you may still order a cocktail and they'll get it from the Garden Bar. Thanks AGAIN, BB! Rare Beamafar Posted August 1, 2016 #10 Share Posted August 1, 2016 Are seats reserved at the shows for Yacht Club guests? On formal nights they are - your butler escorts you to the theatre and shows you to the reserved area.

Rare Beamafar Posted August 1, 2016 #12 Share Posted August 1, 2016 is that new Beamafar? they did not reserve any sears for us on the divina im march!?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk No, I saw it on my first cruise on Fantasia in Nov 2011. The butlers escorted people to the front row. I wasn't in YC then. I've since been escorted on Preziosa (Sept 2014) and Divina (Sept 2015), though we were shown to seats in a better location than the front row! IIRC it was only on the first formal night, but we had a wonderful butler on both cruises who insisted on escorting us and he was so earnest we couldn't refuse him. They may not be doing it on Divina out of Miami  I always believed the butlers accompanied people to the dining room and the theatre at least once just so they wouldn't get lost or disoriented outside the enclave  :D
susanrobert Posted August 1, 2016 #13 Share Posted August 1, 2016 Just off the Divina and we were lucky enough to have Putra as our Butler. He was beyond amazing. It seemed like he was everywhere. We called him our little genie. All we would do was look for him and he'd appear! We're pretty low maintenance but he insisted on escorting us to dinner. He couldn't do enough for us. The biggest bonus was getting escorted off the ship in ports. He said he was "there for us" anything we needed.

Rare Beamafar Posted August 2, 2016 #15 Share Posted August 2, 2016 We had a butler on Preziosa in 2014 named Jacques from Madagascar - he was as good as Putra sounds from comments here. When we were in YC on Divina in the Med last year, he was onboard and, though he wasn't our assigned butler on that one, he looked after us as though he was! We met him a few weeks later again on Divina's crossing to Miami and, although we weren't in YC he behaved toward us as though we were - something I'd never experienced before with crew from YC when not a guest there! Another amazing guy was the head butler, Kamil. Again, he was on Divina last year for our Med cruise and the crossing to Miami. We met him in the terminal when boarding for the TA and again, not being YC guests, he still assisted us with a problem we had and gave me his number to contact him during the cruise! We were gobsmacked at the service he offered to us!
TheSoccerCoach Posted August 2, 2016 #16 Share Posted August 2, 2016 Love hearing these stories, Bea! There are some incredible people working on cruise ships! And, we met some incredibly warm, caring folks on Divina. My wife and I are hoping down the road we can experience the YC.

Like Bea said Kamil was such a great head butler. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He made our cruise. It looked like Putra had all the cabins that ran across the bow on deck 16. The 2 royal suites and the cabins in between them. I'm not sure if he had any more than that. kathiean Posted August 3, 2016 #21 Share Posted August 3, 2016 In my many travels in the YC on Divina I have had Jaques, Aaron (twice), Putra (twice), Juan Carlos, and Darwin as my butler. Every single one of them were FANTASTIC! We will be on the Divina once again in November and can't wait to see who we get! We are treated as family every time we board...and the butlers must talk amongst themselves...when we get a new butler, they already know our preferences from our previous butler! They seem to anticipate your every need and go WAY out of their way to make you happy. Unbelievable service!

He would check on us daily and made sure we had whatever we needed.
