We booked the Caribbean Princess partial canal cruise for Oct 2017

I normally book my own private excursion. However with many new

ports we are not familiar with we are considering doing Princess excursions.

Puerto Limon, Cartagena and Panama,

It says excursion will be open up about 120 days before sailing for reservations

Can you pre pay for your excursion with Princess or only make reservations

We usually just do cash account and like to pre pay as much as possible.

How are Princess Excursions

You might consider Lee Miles in Cartagena for a tour.

He has lived there for 35 years and does an excellent tour, especially if you are only in port until 2pm. We have used him many times. :)

Princess excursions may be available more than 120 days out. It all depends on when Princess completes their contracts for the 2017/18 winter season. Start checking the cruise personlizer next spring.

Yes, you can pre-pay or have the excursion cost charged to your on board account.

Princess excursions can vary from good to not so good. They tend to have more people than privately booked tours.

Panama - Your cruise is a partial Panama Canal transit. After going through the locks the ship will sit and wait in Gatun Lake. Only passengers booked on Princess tours are permitted on the tenders to leave the ship. No private tours.

Join your roll call for possible private tours at other ports.

i like that Princess still allows us to pay for the excursions once on board. But you can pre pay too.

We love the Panama, and have always done just our own private thing each time.

I have written about the Panama in my blog and you can check out each port in Panama by clicking on the port on the left side. I shared every private company's link too.

enjoy,
