Focused1 Posted August 8, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2016 We are disembarking in LA from the Explorer in January after the Panama Canal cruise. Is it possible to make a 10:30 am flight?
Travelcat2 Posted August 8, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2016 We are disembarking in LA from the Explorer in January after the Panama Canal cruise. Is it possible to make a 10:30 am flight? Think that is much too early. You should be at LAX by 8:30 a.m. (latest 9:00 a.m.) and the traffic at that time is pretty much bumper to bumper. Eager2Travel Posted August 8, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2016 I agree with TC. A 10:30 flight departure is risky. LAX is very busy and security lines are long.

warburg Posted August 9, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 9, 2016 Greetings from South Beach, Focused1. The later your reservation, the better. LAX is right up there with the world's worst airports. We departed from San Pedro in 2015 for our Panama Canal transit on Oceania's Riviera. According to SIRI, it is 24.1 miles to the airport from the port. As usual, traffic is the variable. We didn't arrive from the airport because we stayed in LA for a few days. Have a great trip. We've done the Canal in both directions and loved it. By the way, we used Uber to get to the ship.
