Griff61 Posted August 9, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2016 Hello I have looked on the forum and internet and can't find current , 2016 , info about pricing for getting some shirts and paints ironed when we travel to Alaska on board the Noordam. I did read one old thread that said they ironed for free but I don't think that would be write given what one pays for as extras. Knowing that they do not have self serve laundry on board. Thank you in advance.
Quinte Girl Posted August 9, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2016 We just got off the Noordam last Sunday. Ironing is $28 for unlimited all week. We were told that it would be up to 48 hours after we filled our bag - but it was always back by the next day! Great service.

gpb11 Posted August 10, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2016 As an alternative, check to see if they have irons & ironing boards to borrow. I did no ironing on Noordam in June, but last fall on NCL Star I was able to borrow these and do my own. I simply called guest services and someone brought them to my cabin in a few minutes. When I was done, I called them back to have the stuff picked up.
RuthC Posted August 10, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 10, 2016 As an alternative, check to see if they have irons & ironing boards to borrow. There's no ironing in cabins allowed on any Holland America ships. The Prinsendam, two remaining S-class ships, and four R-class ships, all have laundry rooms where someone may do their own ironing. The Vista, Signature, and Pinnacle class ships have an ironing service. You can pay by the piece, or purchase a package.
