seapointer Posted August 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2016 Booked on Konigsdam Caribbean cruise. Boarding instructions require pre-cruise registration Boarding Pass, Passport, and "Application Visa" for which I cannot find an explanation. Does anyone know what this is? Most likely should read "applicable visa" - for any countries you're visiting that require one.
CruiserBruce Posted August 10, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 10, 2016 Agree with dakrewser....and probably a generic statement for the very few people who might need visas in a few cases. For the Caribbean, doesn't apply to US citizens.
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 10, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2016 Seeing as you are from New Jersey and the ports that the Koningsdam will be visiting in the Caribbean -- you do not need to worry about any Visas.

take us away Posted August 12, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 12, 2016 you don't even need a passport Bring your passport - it makes embarkation so much easier with fewer hassles as gate agents expect to see this.

If the latter and you are trying to do it with IE or Edge browsers, try Chrome or Firefox. Edited September 5, 2016 by catl331

serendipity1499 Posted September 7, 2016 #12 Share Posted September 7, 2016 I only take DL and birth cert. and never have a problem. We take our passports all the time.. If there is an emergency at home or an accident while you are on a cruise & you have to fly back to the U.S. you must have a passport.. A DL &/or Birth Cert. will not be accepted by an airline or U.S. Immigrations..

Like travel insurance, you don't have to have a passport, but you'll be very sorry about your choice if things go off the rails. Like you, we never travel without our passports.
