DZalumni Posted September 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2016 (edited) The price on our cruise dropped $26 total. Do you call your TA and have them get you the lower rate? It seems like more time would be spent on labor to "save" this money. What do you do when the drop is this small? Edited September 2, 2016 by DZalumni

If not, you're only out $26.

However, checking closer, All the perks went away. I got the go best package for free. If I take the new price. I only get one perk. It was only about 100.00 Per person savings. So I left it alone. You may want to check first before calling.. Edited September 2, 2016 by gtxl1200

Priced it on the website, exactly the same as what I currently have, AQ with Go Best.

Reduce away then..:D I watch mine everyday. I still have 18 days until final payment. So maybe something will come along. I got a really good deal to begin with. So pretty happy already. Iamthesea Posted September 2, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 2, 2016 That would not worth the aggravation of a call for myself or for my TA. I even let a $100 pp price drop go because it meant we would have to pay the full deposit when we had the cruise booked with the $25 pp deposits. cruisedancemom Posted September 2, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 2, 2016 Why not? It's another $26 you can use toward something else[emoji3] I just called for a $30 drop on a cruise. My big box TA doesnt charge a change fee so I call every time I suspect a price drop. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
DrivesLikeMario Posted September 2, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 2, 2016 Your TA may have a change fee. Even if she doesn't, it's not worth all the extra work for such a small sum. Wait until it drops more than $50 per person at least.
PhD-iva Posted September 3, 2016 #10 Share Posted September 3, 2016 Is there a limit to the number of times they will process a price drop before final payment date? Thx ✌️ Sent from my iPad using Forums
patty1955 Posted September 3, 2016 #11 Share Posted September 3, 2016 I called once on a small price drop and the customer service person found an even better price than I had found. I'm not sure if it was an unadvertised sale or what, but I took it.
screwsmcernst Posted September 4, 2016 #12 Share Posted September 4, 2016 We booked our Nov. 2017 cruise in August, and I got a very good rate. But, I had my TA check the rates for Go Best currently during the two if by Sea sale. That saved me another $248. It was a great catch. I will check every time there is a sale or price drop. I usually check every week. :D What's the worst that can happen... they say no. :)
tlk1013 Posted September 5, 2016 #13 Share Posted September 5, 2016 We're booked on the Equinox for the 14-night Christmas cruise. This is the first year in many that we have not seen a price reduction and we check faithfully. We'll hold out to the last minute for final payment in case Celebrity gets generous!
