Price of drinks

Hi sailing on the Spirit on 18th Sept on Grand Med Cruise from Venice, looked at drink packages, $59/£44 daily seems rather expensive, but now worried that drinks onboard are as expensive, any help appreciated. Thank you

We were on the Spirit in DEC and the price of drinks was high- average $15 with gratuity for a cocktail. High end brands, specialty drinks and some wine by the glass was more. We always get the UBP so we don't have to worry about it. She is a great ship- you will have fun! :)

The only thing to say is that drinks are extortionate. If you have cruised P&O or Cunard, then brace yourself. All the non-UK lines are expensive, but NCL alone have really gone for it and add 18% gratuity to every drink you purchase!

 

Incidentally, my understanding is that the drinks package is now $79 per day following a couple of outrageous increase recently.
