grandgeezer Posted September 15, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2016 If you are considering doing this cruise, I suggest you wait another week or so. I've been following this cruise for several weeks and the cruise is down almost $400 p.p. from where it was. It's now $1999 p.p. for a balcony, with no perks. As of earlier this morning, there were still almost 200 balconies available according to the u.k. web site. I think final payment is next week so I expect it to show up in the Xciting deals. If the current price is ok, go for it. Air fare could be a concern though. As of now, it's a little higher than I would like, but another price drop would put it in my budget. If not, holidays with family and friends works also.
Muushka Posted September 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2016 Great tip! Wish we could do this cruise. Nothing better than Christmas Day and NYE on a cruise!
FlorenceItaly Posted September 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2016 Nice of you to post. Thank you! Lately, my observation is Celebrity is over pricing a lot of itineraries, and then slashing the prices after final payment to fill the ship. We are sailing on the Eclipse Jan 2 on a fantastic deal. I have booked our Christmas Cruise on the Regal Princess(Dec 18-29) because I got a incredible deal. I would have gladly considered the Holiday cruise on the Eclipse to make it a b2b, but, the prices are sky high. They will probably drop big time after final payment but, by then I will have made final payment on my Princess cruise(Oct. 4). We have been sailing Celebrity lately, so the change on the Regal will be nice. Marie
