top of the world Posted September 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2016 Can you get the All inclusive drink package just for the sea days or do you have to take it for the whole cruise? Is it OK for just one person in the cabin to take it or do both passengers need to get the AIDP even if one person does not drink? Thanks for your help. Thanks for your help. AIBP is for entire sailing, you cannot pick and choose which days. They are also only sold in advance or on day one or two of sailing, and it is not prorated if you buy on day two - you pay the entire amount regardless... Packages are sold on a per person basis, and can be bought by just one in a cabin, etc. There's no requirement for everyone of age in a cabin to purchase it. They are per person, no sharing and for entire duration of cruise. There's an excellent spreadsheet on this forum with virtually every drink and price listed, very helpful to determine if a package suits you... It's in a thread called Princess Beverage Package Evaluator.. A quick search brings it up. Edited September 19, 2016 by reedprincess
Potstech Posted September 19, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2016 For the whole cruise and it is an individual package unless tied to a special deal like the Sip and Sail that recently ended.
Thrak Posted September 19, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2016 Be aware that Princess doesn't allow sharing of the package. If you are caught sharing you will lose the package and be charged for every drink you had and all future drinks. The only way to safely "share" the package is to purchase a bottle of wine. Any bottle under $100 is 40% off and you are free to share it with anybody you like.
OCruisers Posted September 19, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 19, 2016 It's for the entire cruise. While only one person has to purchase the "Liquor Sticker" (AIBP), no sharing is allowed.
Corinda Posted September 19, 2016 #6 Share Posted September 19, 2016 One of the rules is that you can only buy one drink at a time - this includes water so if you want to take two bottles of water for your time off the ship....plan ahead.
Alaskan Joe Posted September 19, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 19, 2016 This may help you decide, just fill in the yellow lines and it will let you know if it is worth getting the AIBP. Are you suggesting they share bottled water ?????:D Since the sticker is on you ship card they would have to change the card on port days and again on sea days. Plus how could they be sure you would change the card on non-paid-for days

memoak Posted September 19, 2016 #10 Share Posted September 19, 2016 I often want 2 bottles of water - one large to have in cabin and one small for the gym. It has usually not been a problem - and yes we both get the plan

Lucky TGO Posted September 20, 2016 #12 Share Posted September 20, 2016 It's for the entire cruise. While only one person has to purchase the "Liquor Sticker" (AIBP), no sharing is allowed. I think this is the best answer to your questions. Tony

deliver42 Posted September 20, 2016 #14 Share Posted September 20, 2016 Princess's drink pkg rules are pretty consistant with other cruise lines, escept Carnival, which requires both people in the cabin to purchase the Cheers pkg, and there is a 15 drink per day limit. How do you know this Sharing is going on all the time, I have witnessed it since the package was launched. Because I've witnessed it a few times, usually it's a couple sharing a package, although once it was a family with father sharing drinks with an underage son. Bartenders catch on, then call security, security watches it happen, then escorts the couple to guest services and have the package rescinded and drinks charged to account. The couple on my last sailing returned to the bar later on, complained about the charges being put on their account, then berated the bartender for "telling on" them - until security escorted them to their cabin for the rest of the evening.... skynight Posted September 20, 2016 #17 Share Posted September 20, 2016 Is there Cranberry juice for Vodka Cranberry? I don't see it on the evaluator? Yes, the bars have cranberry juice. Look for Cosmopolitan. It's almost the same drink, less the triple sec and the lime juice.
