TNShadyLady Posted September 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2016 We're cruising on the Valor for the first time this Friday. Any tips, secrets, or recommendations for this ship?
Cruzlover7 Posted September 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2016 We're cruising on the Valor for the first time this Friday. Any tips, secrets, or recommendations for this ship? Not really a secret, but the aft adult pool is great. We could always find a deck chair. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
KBCruiseLover Posted September 25, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2016 ~If you enjoy "quiet time" but still like being outside, Deck 3 (with Lobby area exits) is great. Port side is non-smoking with the starboard side being for smokers. My husband and I spent more hours than I can count out there. We always try to find our "happy place" and sometimes we can't find the right spot. This was perfect for us. ~Deck 10 at the front of the ship is great for watching the ship come into ports. It's usually not too crowded and easy to get to.
paper1122 Posted September 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 25, 2016 I will be on it in 18 days. I have heard that if you want to eat at fish and chips that you there the first day since a lot of people won't have discovered it yet.

loretta5ue Posted September 25, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 25, 2016 Was told by our room steward that sometimes the showers backup at port (on Valor) after it happened to us. DH decided to shower at the gym after it happened- now he prefers it. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Luvtoeat Posted September 25, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 25, 2016 We will also be on the ship this Friday. I have had the fish and chips many times and never found it to be crowded on any day. The fish and chips are always good when not to greasy.
b74 Posted September 25, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 25, 2016 Dine on the 2nd floor of Rosies. Have to climb stairs but way less crowded because most people dont notice it nor do they want to climb the stairs. Deck 10 fwd is best place to be alone with wind and views, as other poster stated. Blue iguana tacos are excellent, as well as the burgers. If you go to punchliner (comedy show) wait until the 2nd to last show of the evening. During the earlier shows they kick everyone out after each show and you have to walk all the way back near the casino and wait in line again just to get back in. On the 2nd to last show they usually let everyone stay between shows because its not nearly as busy. Tell the cruise line it is your anniversary and you will get some decent gift cards delivered to your room
b74 Posted September 25, 2016 #10 Share Posted September 25, 2016 Almost forgot; we were not impressed with the scheduled dining. Food was decent but very crowded and service took forever, making it impossible to partake in several evening acivities. Do eat brunch at the dining room on the at sea days. Its never very crowded later in the morning. Service was much faster and the brunch menu is quite good.
Mary49 Posted September 25, 2016 #11 Share Posted September 25, 2016 (edited) We're cruising on the Valor for the first time this Friday. Any tips, secrets, or recommendations for this ship? Recommendation Make sure you stop by the Casino and listen to "Music Boardwalk" they are great and play everything. I don't think you will be disappointed. They also have a FB page, if you want to check them out. Happy cruising. Edited September 25, 2016 by Mary49
