Getaway Specialty Restaurant Reservations Online

My friend and I are newbies to NCL. Our package includes drinks, but we wanted to add the 3 meal specialty dining also. My question is, did we wait too long to book the restaurants on-line? I looked at Cagney's and the first availability on-line is for 9:30pm! Are there also reservations available when we board this coming Sunday? I think it's a better deal to book the 3 meal on-line, but want to make sure we get into Cagney's.

Thanks so much! We leave this Sunday and am starting to panic!

On-line reservations are open to non-suite passengers 90-days prior to sailing, 100 for suite passengers.

Good news is that only about 1/3 of the available time slots are allotted for on-line booking, the rest must be done on board.

If you want a particular time and/or restaurant, suggest you head to the Restaurant Reservation desk as soon as you board and make your reservations.

Others here will say they have luck in making reservations earlier in the day they want to dine or just walk up.

Enjoy your cruise :)

Good advice! The other tip is that specialty restaurants get more heavily booked as the week goes by, so might have the best luck trying to get reservations for the start of the week when others are still making their way around.

You can join our roll call here and "meet" a few of your fellow cruisers beforehand :D

We just returned 9/25 and had the 3UDP. I saw the same times online before hand but once we got on ship we had no problem getting all three booked for the week, where and when we wanted them. We also switched our final dinner just the night before to a different restaurant and it wasn't an issue. Enjoy!

Does a mini-suite come under the 100 day rule for booking or must we wait until 90 days? thanks!

Must wait for 90 days. Mini-suite is more of a balcony category. It gets none of the perks that a suite does.

You can also call NCL dining reservations. They have more open slots that do not show up online! Worth a call - if they can't help you go to left side of Guest Services desk when you board and make reservations there.
