Tv Channels??

Recommended Posts

There are some movies, some sitcoms, some kid shows/cartoons...all repeat on a "loop"...some news shows and lots and lots of ship's programming...showing Quest, Love and Marriage, etc....

The programming is pretty limited. You will not be getting current tv shows at all. Record at home that which you don't want to miss!

The same three episodes of one or two shows will be shown on 6 channels in different languages. CNN international. Three movies will be played on a continuous loop on one channel. Maybe TNT. Maybe a couple of sports channels, focusing mainly on soccer. One music video channel playing stuff you have never heard of. One little kid centric channel and 3-4 channels of ads for the ship amenities. Best channel is the bow cam with a live feed

Cruise ship TV is has become very bad over the years.

RC could possibly be the worst.

An international CNN. International ESPN.

Another channel showed the same few episodes of Cops or something similar.

A couple cartoon channels.

A couple movie channels that did not run continuously.

The rest of the channels are just commercials promoting their stuff.

You will recognize some of the stations (TNT, TruTV, etc), but they are not the US stations. The content comes from the Buenos Aires facility and it's not "live". I believe every month or so they upload new content to loop.

There is occasional live sports, but I think it's more "high profile" sporting events...

I forgot about TruTV. It is one of my favorite channels at home but your right about the one on the ship, its not the same.

It kept showing some show about "being in prison" over& over.

At least Princess shows re-runs of "Love Boat".....

  • 1 year later...

FOX News was on when we were on Empress in October. TV choices on RCCL are very limited as others have noted. The Celebrity ships had many additional channels when we sailed out of Ft. L.

On the Allure, out of Fort Lauderdale, there was CNN, MSNBC(International), Fox, BBC, SKyNews, movies for $11.99 each, a couple of random tv shows, travel station, ESPN Caribbean 1 and 2, and RCCL advertisements.
