stoneharborlady Posted May 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2004 If we have room service breakfast for three, what is the appropriate tip for the person that delivers it to the room? Caribbean Princess July 3 2004

MTS Posted May 20, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 20, 2004 Ditto to the above posters. I was on the 5-8 Diamond to Alaska, and I ordered room service often. When they brought snacks or just desserts, I would tip them a couple bucks. Full meals for two I tipped $5 bucks. MTS
rkacruiser Posted May 20, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 20, 2004 On Royal Princess, room service breakfast was brought by my cabin stewardess. Since she already was going to receive the automatic gratuity charged to my account, plus a bit more I gave her at the end of the cruise, I did not give her a tip upon breakfast delivery. From her behavior, none was expected, either. If some other steward would deliver room service, then certainly a gratuity would be appropriate. I would consider $1.00-$2.00 per person adequate. 24 cruises: 10 Holland America, 3 Princess, 3 Pacific Far East Line, 2 Royal Viking Line, 1 each: Cunard, NCL, RCCL, Sitmar, American Hawaii, Home Lines
