Kayaking mangroves

I was looking for something for our family to do in Martinique. On the NCL website, I saw something about kayaking the mangroves, which looks interesting.

 

This appeals to me because I want to do something other than go to beaches the entire cruise, and this is something that looks different and unique.

 

NCL laughably wants $104 per person, and there's no way I'm paying that.

 

However, I found a website (in French) of a company which claims to do the same thing, for the same length of time, for SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper. (I'm talking about 25% of the price.)

 

Has anyone done this? Was it interesting? Did you see any interesting animals, birds, or bugs?

 

I'm looking for feedback, whether you went on a ship tour or did it yourself.

 

If you did it yourself, what company did you use? How much did it cost you?

 

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Place is French and they only speak French.

 

No response to my English e-mail.

 

Wrote back in French and got a response, albeit days later.

 

He told me tours go at 8:30 and that won't work for me. I asked if he does later ones. I am awaiting that response.

 

I will probably give this place a shot and report back about how it went.
