Clarea Posted November 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Is this a thing of the past? We see "free" lobster offered on cruises of 5 days and longer, based out of the US. Usually offered on second formal night on 7 day cruises.
Cruisin'4Us Posted November 17, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Is this a thing of the past?We had excellent lobster on Anthem in the MDR (well, one of the four main dining venues) last year.
swilliams1660 Posted November 17, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Some of the other cruise lines have discontinued it because they're too shellfish.
Cruise a holic Posted November 17, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Do you know if they serve lobster in the Suite restaurant? If so, also second formal night? Txs
SONJ Posted November 17, 2016 #6 Share Posted November 17, 2016 We were on the NCL Escape a few weeks ago and I only saw it in the menu as an upcharge in the MD, venues. Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app

Clarea Posted November 17, 2016 #8 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Do you know if they serve lobster in the Suite restaurant? If so, also second formal night? Txs Our experience on Oasis was that the "free" lobster was offered in Coastal Kitchen on the same night as it was offered in the Main Dining Room, which was the second formal night. Merly Posted November 17, 2016 #10 Share Posted November 17, 2016 My understanding and experience is that lobster is only served on ships sailing from the US. Currently on Vision, second formal night tonight, no lobster. Sailing Greek isles and Croatia.
cb140 Posted November 17, 2016 #11 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Just been on the Indy Southampton to FLL repo and there wasn't lobster on any of the three formal nights (although they did have something they described as "giant shrimp" which was actually quite nice) Sent from my iPhone using Forums
