Boots the Monkey Posted November 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2016 So we are going out of Mobile on Thursday on the Fantasy to Cozumel. Is there any chance at all that this storm could even make it that far north by Saturday (when we are due to arrive in Coz)???? Boots the Monkey Posted November 21, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted November 21, 2016 There is nothing you can do , they will keep you safe. Oh I know there's nothing I can do. My question is do I even need to worry? Any weather buffs know if this thing can even get there by Saturday> :)
DebJ14 Posted November 21, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 21, 2016 The computer models on Wunderground have it crossing Central America well south of Mexico and going into the Pacific. https://www.wunderground.com/hurricane/atlantic/2016/Invest-90L?map=model

cruiser fanatic Posted November 21, 2016 #7 Share Posted November 21, 2016 Don't worry about it. They will keep the ship away from the storm. The storm is going to Nicaragua and Costa Rica, not Cozumel.
Rare crewsweeper Posted November 21, 2016 #8 Share Posted November 21, 2016 At worst, outlying models say it'll bring rain to Southern Belize on Thursday. So if you're not tying up at Harvest Caye, NCL's new port, on Thursday/ Friday, you'll not be affected. But consensus work says by Friday it'll be just off the Pacific coasts of Costa Rica or Nicaragua.

Storm map: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/gtwo.php?basin=atlc&fdays=5 I take it this is not Jim Storm. During bad weather you just have to hope it doesn't hit your ports. The ships can sail around them when they are at sea.
