bumphead Posted November 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2016 We will be sailing on Anthem of the Seas in March and were wondering if there is some place that we can readily get hot water to steep our own loose leaf tea while onboard. spookwife Posted November 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2016 you can request it from room service, but it will NOT be proper English Brewing temperature and you need to request that they use a carafe that has not been used for coffee previously. if you are in a JS or above there will be a kettle in the cabin for your use. if she is sailing out of Great Britain or Australia, all cabins will have a kettle. otherwise, the Windjammer will have a dispenser for coffee that also provides plain hot water( again, not proper brewing temp, but to will be hot) also somewhere on the Promenade deck there should be a dispenser. (and that one is probably the one that will be available 24/7)

You can get hot water in the WJ, Cafe 270, Solarium Cafe and Cafe Promenade. The hot water from the dispenser is extremely hot. Room service would also send you a carafe of hot water but that is not as hot as you would want. You could also bring your tea to dinner if you want and any of the restaurants would bring you hot water to brew your tea at your table.
griffy116 Posted November 29, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 29, 2016 The hot water dispensed in the Promenade Cafe is extremely hot, and I used it for a cup of tea. The water in a carafe will not be as hot. Can't speak to the other places.
