Freeport Billie Joe's washed away

Port Lucaya public beach access Billie Joe's next to the Police Department has been washed away thanks to Hurricane Mathew. Was just there 11/23 and only thing there are drug dealers.

we are going there in Dec and planned on buying the Lucaya resort day pass. I contacted them and they said this was still available at the lighthouse , should we have another plan ? Definitely don't want to be around drug dealers as we are traveling with kids

Really sad to see this...we're heading to Freeport in 9 days...and we were planning to just hit this free beach with the kiddos. Not quite sure what we'll do now. I'd be interested in Senor Frogs if it's open...would love to hear more from someone who's been there recently.

The Lucayan resort told me via facebook they are open and taking people for day passes at the lighthouse point . Can anyone verify the beach is still worth paying for ?
