tammymacb Posted December 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2016 I'm booked on a 12 night BI cruise in August of 2017. With the new anniversary sale the SBC is calculated on number of "days". My cruise is 13 plus days including embarkation day and disembarkation day but 12 nights. So, do I get the $400 or the $600 SBC? (we are staying in a balcony). paul929207 Posted December 6, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 6, 2016 The easiest way is to just count nights

Everything like that - ie OBC, cruise credits, drink package, erc is priced out or sold by NIGHTS onboard. While technically you're inboard for some portion of 14 days, you're only onboard 12 nights - and that's how it's sold, and counted. If you bought a beverage package, it would be priced for 12 nights, but work from the moment you bought it till disembarkation. And so on. Happy sails!! janj01 Posted December 6, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 6, 2016 Drink packages dont work untill you disembark. They finish somewhere around midnight on your last night. You wont have any luck using it on disembarkation mornings as all the accounts have been finalized and your onboard account left in the slot outside your door Sent from my SM-N9005 using Forums mobile app
jefa Posted December 6, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 6, 2016 My drinks package worked on disembarkation day a couple of weeks ago. Both after midnight in the casino, and the following morning in the International Cafe for coffee. As the drinks package had already been paid beforehand, it wouldn't make any difference to your final account.

And they work long after midnight that last night also, FWIW - as we're in the club until they close down, usually late as people are killing time and enjoying their last time onboard. We've enjoyed a last bloody Mary with breakfast or a last mocha before we depart, bottle of water for the road, etc.
skynight Posted December 6, 2016 #9 Share Posted December 6, 2016 A few Comments: “I'm booked on a 12 night BI cruise in August of 2017. With the new anniversary sale the SBC is calculated on number of "days". My cruise is 13 plus days including embarkation day and disembarkation day but 12 nights.” You board around 1pm on boarding day and disembark around 9am of disembarkation day. If you count the hours you are on board just about 4 hours short of a full 12 days. You are on board for 13 different dates, but just short of 12 full days.. “Drink packages don’t work until you disembark. They finish somewhere around midnight on your last night. You won’t have any luck using it on disembarkation mornings as all the accounts have been finalized and your onboard account left in the slot outside your door.” Drink packages are valid until you actually disembark. Final invoices are prepared as stated above, but there is no financial transaction on the last morning with a drink package. The same is true with coffee cards, the punches work as does the unlimited brewed coffee option.
cb at sea Posted December 7, 2016 #10 Share Posted December 7, 2016 Nights are all that matters...the last "day" is not a "day" at all...they will be booting you off as soon as they can....the departure morning is not what you've become accustomed to....they just want you GONE! The drink packages and your onboard account work until the moment you walk off the ship. The drink package is prepaid, so there is no reason for it not to work. Also, if you want to buy something at the IC without a drink package, they still scan your card and your on board account is amended and your credit card is charged. OCruisers Posted December 7, 2016 #12 Share Posted December 7, 2016 Your AIDP is good for the morning you are departing the ship. No Problem! :)

reedprincess Posted December 7, 2016 #15 Share Posted December 7, 2016 Did you mean to write 13? Or how do you figure 14 days? Obviously I meant 13 days...Given the OPs example. I can always count on the CC boards for finding any and all flaws, mistakes, misspellings, etc no matter how obvious or easily made. Thank you mu h for finding and pointing out my error. Much appreciated.
