We just sailed out of FLL and it couldn't have been smoother. This is the first S class ship I've been on and all I can say so far is WOW. Before I sailed Century Class and Millennium class.

Embarkation FLL at Pier 18 could not have been smother. The ship is beautiful. I found my favorite bar so far; its the Martini Bar. (have premium drink package.) Someone turned me onto the Cucumber Martini. Never had such a good drink for smoothness and refreshing.

The cabin is better than AQ on an M class. I love the shower doors and storage spaces. So far I can't find anything to complain about or even find amiss.

I hate to sound like a cheerleader because I'm not usually that. However It's a beautiful ship with so far great staff.

We will be sailing our first S class (Eclipse) next month. We have cruised on the M class five times. I keep wondering if there will be no turning back. Is there no turning back for you? ETA: We will also be AQ. Also, I read quickly and thought you were just getting off the ship. I guess it is a bit too early to ask you if there is no turning back, lol.

We're on the 14-night holiday cruise December 19 and can't wait. Have spent almost two months on Equinox in the last two years and love the ship and its sisters.

We've sailed all the Celebrity ships over the years and also loved the M class. But the design of the S class is very effective at disguising its size while continuing what we liked about the M class public spaces. Its easy to negotiate, has a ton of nooks and crannies, and has won us over.

Great to hear, and not surprised. I remember my first impression when on Silhouette first. I am on Equinox for the sailing just after New Years, 3 weeks away... can't wait! Would love to hear more of your experience onboard this beautiful ship.

Please look after the ship as we board as you disembark.

I don't know if my cabin is really larger than an M class cabin but it feels that way. Maybe because I'm sailing solo. DW had to work and couldn't get away for this cruise.

I'm scoping out this ship cause we'll both be on the Eclipse next month.

I've never cruised Concierge before. Been Aqua the last two cruises. For those of you who haven't sailed on an S class yet, here are some cabin pics.

I like the little alcove of two cabin doors set off the main passageway.

Two balcony chairs w/ footstools.

I really like the curved shower door and the storage spaces.

Here's a picture of the Concierge embarkation lunch menu.

I was seated in a section that had a low ceiling. I was expecting a loud dining experience at night as we had on the Summit before going to Blu but I didn't notice the sound bouncing around.

I waited until the long line of those waiting for Select dining to diminish. Then was seated right away. I had the Prime Rib. It was rare as ordered. Nothing wrong with dinner but nothing memorable either.

The cruise director is Damian De Lorenzis. Because I awoke at 5:30 the morning of sailing with 1.5 hours drive to the port from the hotel I stopped at, I was tired and didn't do the show. The entertainer was David Guidice but that's all I know.

I had asked for an egg crate topper before trying the bed. The cabin attendant didn't add it. Maybe he didn't have one but I was surprised how good the bed slept without it.

The lobby is decorated tastefully for Christmas. I'll try and take a pic or two.

I like the elevator banks overlooking the atrium with a lot of light coming from above. There are actually groups of elevators on both sides of the atrium. That makes for a much more interesting ride.

I'm looking forward to breakfast in a few hours. It will be interesting to see how they set up the different stations in the buffet you can walk around instead of just standing on one long line waiting behind someone who can't make up their mind. :)

I forgot to mention that the mandatory life boat drill was more civilized. My muster station was in the Murano Restaurant. Seating was very comfortable. It didn't feel like cattle crammed into a huge room as I've experienced on previous ships in the lounge or casino.

The internet connection seems to be pretty fast. I like that since I have the internet perk, they included a voucher at check in with the pass code. It was very convenient to connect in my cabin without having to visit the ILounge.

I'm looking forward to watching the Hot Glass show later today. We have two sea days before hitting St. Thomas.

The show tonight is called Life. For me, cruising is the life. :D

Chucktownsteve,

Thanks for update. We were on equinox 3 weeks ago and enjoyed it so much. The bartenders in Martini bar are Ricardo and Catalin who always say when you order.." Excellent Choice" ! Top shelf bartenders. Im sure they remember my wife and I well. We were on Constellation with you in February..

Enjoy your cruise!!

We sailed on M class twice, then switched for our last two cruises to S class. We cruise on the Summit (M) in two weeks. I've been curious as to what we'll think going back to M after loving S so much.

Try the World Class bar. It is pretty good, too!

ChucktownSteve,

We were on the Equinox three weeks ago as well. Very nice ship, had an excellent cruise. World Class Bar before dinner and Martimi bar after dinner. Definitely try World Class Bar, not a full bar, limited menu, but very good drinks, some with interesting preparation/presentations. They can make other drinks if they have the ingredients. If you like gin have Jellena (Yellena) make you an Aviation, gin, creme de violet, luxardo liquor and lemon juice, excellent. Tell her Jay from Thanksgiving cruise recommended it. The Martini Bar was excellent, wait till Catalin pours multiple martinis, he's the best bartender on the ship! Tell him Mr. Tony Stark said hello, he will remember me. We loved the ship so much we booked another cruise while on board! Happy Cruising!
