Fort Lauderdale Car or Uber

We are spending 2 nights pre cruise at the Hilton Beach Resort in FLL. Just deciding if I should rent a car for the 2 days. Will just be going to eat, maybe a little shopping, not too much traveling around. Would it be better to get a car or just Uber back and forth

Uber is so easy in Fort Lauderdale, hands down.

There is also the Sun Trolley ,city bus and water taxi. Just all depends on where and when you are off too. But yes, for sure skip a rental.

Easy. Download the Uber app onto your phone. Answer a question or two and put your credit card in. Your set. The app tells you how many drivers are in the area.You can get pricing from your location to wherever your heading and contact them for pick up. They will send you a pic of the driver and car. Better than a taxi. Cheaper too.

Brady19, as long as you stay within Ft Lauderdale you are better off with Uber. If you plan to venture to Sawgrass Mills or Miami, you might be better off with a rental car.

We are also planning to stay at the Hilton Beach resort a few days before our cruise. We would like to do an Everglades air boat ride. Would Uber be a possibility or would a rental car be called for in this case?

We arrive back into POM and then heading to a hotel in Fort Lauderdale. Can we use Uber then, do we make the enquiry once off the ship? And how would they know where to find us?
