Sch-uite Sailing Posted January 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2017 Does anyone have any idea as to what the iPads run for cost in the iStore? Thinking about using our OBC to purchase one while sailing on Reflection in a few weeks. Thanks for any input you may have if you have shopped it recently. Rare cruisestitch Posted January 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2017 Expect the same price you would get in any Apple Store in the US. The advantage to buying on board is that there is no state/local sales tax.

They charge the same price as in US Apple Stores. But without sales tax added.

bertrande Posted January 20, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Ooh can you use OBC to pay? Also, do they come with plugs that can fit into UK sockets?
Rare cruisestitch Posted January 20, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 20, 2017 You can use OBC to buy Apple products. They do not come with UK plugs, you would need to buy those separately once you get home.

dandee2 Posted January 24, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 24, 2017 How about warranty? IMO,not worth that hassle unless you have OBC to burn.
Charles4515 Posted January 24, 2017 #10 Share Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) How about warranty? IMO,not worth that hassle unless you have OBC to burn. Celebrity is an Apple Authorized Reseller so all the Apple products sold onboard are covered by Apple's international warranty. There is no hassle involved at all but being from the US and close to Apple Stores and other Apple Resellers like Best Buy I only buy from the iLounge to use up OBC. In June I had $150 OBC left so I purchased an Apple TV for $149. (which I like a lot) Passengers from other countries might save as the prices are US with no sales taxes charges or VAT.
