Fouremco Posted January 20, 2017 #26 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Where did the expression "not my cup of tea" originate. All I know is it really gets my goat... YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED... “It’s my cup of tea” has been in use since the late 1800s when the British started using the phrase “my cup of tea” to describe something they liked. I grew up in England, so that one was easy. Your turn: what's the etymology of the expression "gets my goat"? :)
3CatsInMA Posted January 20, 2017 #27 Share Posted January 20, 2017 When I see "House" dubbed in Portuguese, I know I'm on a cruise. :D
Cruzinbabe06 Posted January 20, 2017 #28 Share Posted January 20, 2017 (edited) We spend a lot of downtime in our cabin and TV is always on. I tend to relax on the balcony while hubby enjoy his movie selections. We also have FIOS and that's a good idea to bring the laptop, just in case selections are not good. Sailed the Regal Princess for the first time, and we couldn't believe the On Demand selections. Tons of movies and sitcoms, all for free. Its been a couple of years since i sailed on RCCL, thanks for the heads up. Edited January 20, 2017 by Cruzinbabe06
Merion_Mom Posted January 20, 2017 #29 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Flipping through the channels yesterday (and Bill is right), I hit Channel 24. It's the first of two ESPN channels. (24 & 25). What was on? Arm wrestling. You can't make this s&i+ up.
