Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – For the most part it was quiet, except for the door slammers and noisy neighbors!

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? -  No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. –  Great midship balcony - no obstructions

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? -  Normal for an OS

Was wind a problem? - No problems with wind

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N?A

Any specific problems with this cabin? -  The biggest problem was not with the cabin, but with the disrespectful neighbors who insisted on smoking.  Whenever they were out, the balcony was not usable.  Lousy internet signal inside the cabin, even with premium package.  Had to go in the hall to connect with a weak signal or find a public venue where the signal was good so that I could send an email.  I was able to make WiFi calls from public venues.  Needs a new gasket on the door.  During a storm the wind howled through the gasket waking us up.  A couple of times the toilet smelled.  Didn't seem to be able to keep water in it and it was often hissing.

Ship - Carnival Inspiration (Fantasy Class)

Deck - Empress Deck 7

Stateroom # -E70

Stateroom Category –Ocean View, Ambulatory Accessible Cabin (scooter accessible)

Starboard or Port Side - Port side

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Noisiest cabin we've ever had.  Two doors from the Atrium, behind Guest Services. Under the Piano Bar.  Atrium music ended at 9:45, Piano Bar started at 9:46. After a while the music became white noise.  Fell asleep to music, woke up when it stopped. lol

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View -  No balcony

Any specific problems with this cabin? -  Cabin closets were shallower then normal. Closet next to vanity did have four shelves but it was only as deep as the safe.  Top shelf was about 4"wide. The middle closet had two clothes bars that could be removed as needed.  The middle closest was about 13" deep, fit our carryon (normal cabins have another 6" in depth).  The last closet was a full hanging closet  The hangars in the middle and last closet angled when the door was closed.

Any other comments? -

Ambulatory Accessible Cabin has a zero threshold bathroom entrance and zero threshold shower.  There were three drains in the floor and never had a problem with shower water outside of the shower.  Shower had grab bars, long faucet handle, adjustable shower head,, shower seat, and a second, lower clothesline.  There was a pull line to call for help, an adjustable magnifying mirror and the basic Fantasy class vanity with the 3"deep shelf above the sink. No shaver outlet in the bathroom.

The cabin door had a second peephole above the door lock.

Vanity had a 110 outlet and a 220 British flat prong outlet.

Beds can be set up as a king OR as two twins.  For more room one twin bed can be placed under the window and the other along the wall.

Ship -   Liberty

Deck -  Riviera  deck 1

Stateroom # -   1390

Stateroom Category –   Ocean View  6B

Starboard or Port Side -  Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very Quiet

Must admit that occasionally we could hear some door open below us to the ocean. Not a problem just funny.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? -   No

Balcony View -  –   N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? -   None

Cabin was very nice. Usual size for the conquest ships.

Great picture window with nice ledge for leaning on to watch the ocean action.

Also great for saving towels animals on.

The only quirk we had with this room was that the mattresses kept slipping off the frame.

We had to re-position often.  Never had that happen before.

As others have stated the mini 'chiller' / frig is not really cold but did keep drinks cooler and held cheese from dinner till mid-night snack time.

Would book this cabin and ship again  [ Conquest ships are the perfect size for us.]

Ship -Sensation

Deck -6 (upper)

Stateroom # -U73

Stateroom Category –Grand Suite

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) –

Yes -no problems with noise (other than ids running up and down hall)

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? -

no

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. –

Balcony covered, larger than usual balcony (not the extended balcony

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? -Normal

Was wind a problem? -no

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? -

Any specific problems with this cabin? -it has a tub-which is HIGH to step into, and makes the ceiling lower in the shower. The ship is older, and leaking water from deck above cause the ceiling of balcony to leak rust onto balcony chairs. Think it ruined my husbands under armour rash guard shirt with rust streaks all over the back! After that we used towels to sit on the chairs.

Any other comments? - Plenty of space for both the trundle and sofa bed pulled out. Lots of usb ports too! was surprised. Lighting around mirror/desk in main area. Walk in closet (big enough to store a suitcase!). Bathroom actually good size for a small ship

Ship - Magic

Deck - 6

Stateroom # - 6263

Stateroom Category – Balcony

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – relatively quiet, except occasional hearing of music from the Lido deck

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - No obstructions. Balcony is right over the deck on the 5 so didn't have to worry about falling into the oceans. 🙂 .

Balcony Size? Normal. Fit two chairs and a small table.

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - This is a forward cabin.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - AC wasn't adequately cool enough. We complained and they said nothing was wrong. They did bring a portable fan for us to use. The bathroom lock wasn't locking but they did replace it the first night.

Any other comments? - This room is basic, like an oceanview with a balcony.  We thought it has a bathroom with a separate bathtub but nope. Just one regular bathroom. This was right next to the stairs to the theater on deck 5 but we didn't hear any noise from there.

Starboard or Port Side - I have no idea and have no idea what this means?  Any info about this room would be appropriated.  Especially would appreciate knowing how far apart these rooms are and if they’re quiet rooms.

I was not able to find any reference to a spreadsheet in the preceding 9 pages.

I haven't sailed the Dream, but can give you some input:

8242 would be a cabin on the 8th deck, port side.  6391 should be 6th deck, starboard side.

These state rooms are 2 decks apart and likely opposite ends of midship, with 8242 being more forward and 6391 being more aft.  There are deck plans on Carnival that show you each type of room and location.  I'm not familiar with all the category types but in general there are interior (no window/maybe porthole), ocean view, balcony, and suites.  Each category has various types of rooms (extended, deluxe, accessible, etc) within the category.

Noise level can be influenced by what is near the cabin (elevators), if it is a connecting cabin (more likely to hear your neighbor), and what is above/below (restaurants, theatre, pool).  The quietest staterooms tend to be forward on decks with cabins above and below.

Port and starboard are sailing terms for left and right (as you face the "front" of the ship).  Even cabins are port side and odd are starboard.  Another way to remember is port, even, and left are all 4 letters.

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) –  Very quiet, especially considering it was first cabin by Blue Iguana Cantina.  But absolutely no noise at all from that side.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? -  No, but the balcony could be opened to connect to 10286

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Looking forward from the balcony the lido deck jutted out so you couldn't look straight up the side of the ship.

iShip -  Ecstasy

Deck - 5

Stateroom # - M250

Stateroom Category – 8A

Starboard or Port Side - port side

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) –

stateroom was not a connecting stateroom

Balcony View -  Great balcony views.  No obstructed view. Close to the ocean very enjoyable. Two chairs and one small table. One of the chairs reclines.

Balcony Size? Normal size

Was wind a problem? - not on our cruise.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? No - we were about 3 cabins at the end of the hallway which kept traffic to a minimum.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - cons: long walk to the front of the ship. The main dining room and the blue sapphire theater. Pros: near the side of lido deck, buffets, coffee, starlight lounge. It is deck 5 so your noise level is non existent.

Any other comments? - great cabin yes there is a hairdryer no fridge.

Ship: Carnival Fantasy

Deck: Main

Stateroom #: M167

Stateroom Category: 4C

Starboard or Port Side: Starboard (interior)

Quiet Stateroom?: Yes, this stateroom was relatively quiet. I booked it in part because of its location on a deck between two other stateroom decks (so no noise from kitchen, auditorium, engine, or deck chairs), and its location amidship. Nothing bothered us except the usual (occasional doors & talking from other passengers out in the hall), but even that wasn't bad.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom?: Yes, it connects with M171, which is to the left of this room if you're in the hall and facing the doors.

NOTE: My wife and I had the king bed configuration and the only logical place for the head of the bed to be is against the connecting door (due to light switches & the TV), which made it unusable. In the two twin bed configuration, there's no problem using the door. Not sure if M171 would have the same problem (it's possible the bed can be placed differently there, but I didn't check and it seems unlikely as they were mirror images of each other).

Any specific problems with this cabin?: Nothing major. There was the aforementioned bed placement. The toilet stopped flushing briefly but a call to the room steward fixed that later and it didn't happen again. The shower temp was a little hard to dial in; it took careful adjustments. Everything else worked and was in decent condition when we sailed (May 2019).

Other comments: The only possible downside to the room is that being on the Main deck put us a little farther away from most everything (except the doors on & off the ship). This just meant we used the elevators a little more (and one of those nearest us was out of service).

There was a hair dryer (in one of the drawers?), and no refrigerator. The room safe let you set a combo by keypad (and did not require a credit card or the like).

Quiet Stateroom? Yes

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? No

Balcony View - ocean view, no obstructions

Balcony Size? Extended. Very large

Was wind a problem? Not at all. Quite lovely

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? Na

Any specific problems with this cabin? This was a lovely cabin with loads of storage and all the comforts. It is an older and outdated ship but maintained well and we were very comfortable.

Any other comments? This cabin and the balcony are large and have plenty of seating and storage.  There were not enough outlets either in the bathroom or in the room.

Ship - Splendor

Deck - 6

Stateroom # - 6450

Stateroom Category – Aft Wrap Balcony

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) –

6450 is behind another door – so the cabin next to us AND us had a second door – it was nice for privacy and noise level.  Because we were on 6 and had only cabins above us, the noise was minimal. However, the deck door to the cabin next door slammed ALL THE TIME. IN – OUT – IN – OUT…holy cow!  (Some of our travel companions had an Aft Wrap on Deck 8 and heard all the chairs being moved around on Lido all the time.)

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? -

No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. –

Aft Wrap - both Aft and PORT views

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? -

Oversized, I guess

Was wind a problem? -

No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? -

We did get soot on the deck on sea days (not a lot) and we got a LOT of trash (food) from jerks throwing stuff over the side of the ship.

Any specific problems with this cabin? -

Not really

Any other comments? -

. As we walked into the cabin, I headed straight for the deck. It was so big, we had 3 regular chairs, 3 lounger chairs and 2 little tables. The room is an odd shape, so the head of the bed was facing the aft corner – the bathroom was near the left side of the bed. The couch was also along the left side of the bed. The right side of the bed was the windows to the deck. Standard closets, drawers, safe and cooler. The TV – OMG it was so DINKY! Didn’t use it often, but when we checked the menu, the map or checked the charges on our SS cards, you had to stand up directly in front of it. The little coffee table moved around; it was not anchored to the floor, thankfully. And there was a sitting chair in the corner that ended up being the catch-all for our clothes.

Would I book another AFT WRAP if I had the fundage?  ABSOLUTELY!!!  We spent a LOT of time on the decks!

Ship - Carnival Dream

Deck - 6 - upper deck

Stateroom # - 6330

Stateroom Category – 8B

Starboard or Port Side -  Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) –  NO  This cabin overlooks the midship hot tub down on deck 5.  Although it is supposed to close at 9pm, there were people in the hot tub yelling and screaming at 3am.  It is also above the Alchemy Bar and you hear noise from that well into the late night

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - NO

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. –  The balcony looks directly down onto the hot tub on Deck 5.  There is absolutely no privacy.  You have to keep your curtains closed at all times because they can see into the cabin.  Totally unusable balcony as you are on display for all to see if you sit out there.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - normal

Was wind a problem? -  Yes.  During the nights while the ship was sailing the divider between 6330 and 6334 would bang back and forth, even though it was locked.  Thankfully, a resourceful neighbor used bungee cords and the wooden coat hangers and a chair to pull the divider taut to stop the banging.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? -  Yes, terribly inconsiderate drunks on the hall who usually came in between 4 and 5 am and were loud and slammed doors.  Drapery hooks are broken off and the drapes sag and let light in like a cheap motel.  The drain in the shower is super slow.  If you keep the water on the entire time during a shower, the bathroom floods.  The shower head would not stay on the pole so we had to wedge it between the soap and shampoo dispensers, otherwise you had to hold it the entire time.

Any other comments? - DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS CABIN.  GOOD REASON NOT TO BOOK A TBA IN CASE YOU END UP WITH THIS TRAVESTY.  #worstcabinever

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes, last room before the Bridge, absolutely no foot traffic outside.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – View directly forward is blocked by the bridge extension, but it was not an issue at all.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Cabin was slightly warmer than we would like during the day.
