vbecky Posted January 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Does anyone know, If you purchase cheers package for 2 adults but one of the adults in the room is a no show would you get a refund for that one cheers package?
AdGuyMG Posted January 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2017 (edited) https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1106/~/cheers%21-beverage-program CHEERS! is non-refundable; if the program is purchased prior to the cruise, it is refundable up to 11:59pm ET, the evening prior to the cruise departure. This tells me the No Show gets no refund. If they cancelled Cheers up until midnight the day before they will get a refund. But that cancels Cheers for the remaining passenger and the remaining passenger would have to purchase Cheers on the ship after it sails at the $5 per day higher rate. Still a good deal. coevan Posted January 23, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 23, 2017 vbecky, if it were a last minute no show, he would lose his money. If he knew he was not going a day in advance, he'll get his refund

If he knew he was not going a day in advance, he'll get his refund True. But then passenger 1 would also have to be refunded the advanced purchase price and would then have to re-purchase on the ship at the $5 per day higher price. ButWholeOnDrain Posted January 23, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 23, 2017 I have actually had a similar question. What would happen if someone were to get sick due to something on the ship (food, drink ect....) and they were quarantined to the room the rest of the voyage. What would happen if you requested a refund for one of the people due to the sickness?

E&B Posted January 23, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Your best solution is to cancel cheers prior to cruising, then just pay the $5 per day higher price for the one person while on board. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
xbatt8 Posted January 24, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 24, 2017 True. But then passenger 1 would also have to be refunded the advanced purchase price and would then have to re-purchase on the ship at the $5 per day higher price. Why? You purchased cheers. Your roommate cancelled. Regardless whether or not they get a refund, you paid for yours. Even if it was paid for on the same credit card, it's a pretty simple transaction to refund 1/2 of a purchase. Bob
