These guys are waiting for our vans to take them back

There's our vessel. I distinctly recall my heart sinking. That walkway would never pass a British Health & Safety check. It starts off with a chain to hold on to, then a rope...... then a string...... then nothing......

There are life jackets for everyone. There isn't a safety drill. We are just told to put a jacket on if we want to step outside.

I was asked to get a pic of how we had to negotiate off and on our craft. Took 3 to haul me up and down..... sigh

We then take a ride to Marta island, also in the Strait of Magellan.

We do not land. Instead we can stand outside to observe.

This is not easy. In fact I wimped out. I got outside then decided this wasn't for me and had to inch my way back....the people who had followed me out had to inch themselves back first as there's only room for one to stand between the boat shell and the single rail. And it's rocking. Quite heavily.

I'm in between throwing up and the desire to get some pictures..... using the point and shoot method again..... poking my head out of the door at the back....

What happens when a friend takes your camera without you realising. This is Memo, possibly the best Head Waiter at sea. No argument.

I paid a visit to the theatre.....Cole Porter night..... elaborate set and super music. Pics are rubbish.

End of day 17

Fascinating photos. Very well done. Thank you for all your time and effort in this blog.

You're more than welcome. I'm a bit shocked at how many pics I have. Only posting some here. Have to finish this then get on to Tripadvisor and pop reviews there  :ship:

Costumes can be altered..... but when the cast changes the outfits need to fit the next dancer so they are made able to be lengthened / shortened if necessary. Dancers agree to not put on weight during the course of their contract.
